An elderly woman in the late-stages of leukemia was forced to undergo 45 minutes of additional screenings last Saturday when she tried to board a flight out of Northwest Florida Regional Airport, her daughter told FoxNews.com
Lena Reppert, 95, was to say her final goodbyes to her daughter before she made what would most likely be her last flight to her native Michigan. After eight years of battling leukemia, doctors say she doesn’t have much time to live.
“She said she wanted to be closer to her grave,” Jean Weber, her daughter, told FoxNews.com. “I knew it would probably be the last time I ever see her.

After 45 minutes, the mother and daughter were given two options: either don't fly, or lose the Depend. The women chose the latter.
“I ran with her to the bathroom and stripped her down,” Weber recalled. “I got back to the line and just started bawling.”
Weber said the emotional toll was too much. From perhaps seeing her mother for what could be the last time, to having to see her mother go through all the security measures, “I just cried and said, ‘Please can you let her through, she’s just so sick,” she said.

Homeland Security is unnecessary. The individual agency just need to do their jobs. Yet we have the result of another knee jerk reaction - we gotta pass another law (was an existing law applicable, and someone not doing their job?), we gotta create another agency (was this within the scope of an existing agency that again failed to do its job?) that makes things even more intrusive and impossible for ordinary people.

We have only to look at totalitarian 'cultures'; be it political and/or religious; whereby the freedoms are denigrated in the most debased of manner, through horrific violations/invasions of ones personal privacy.
Think the TSA's violations are purposeful/intentional and goal oriented; if only by 'first means'; by many (not all) the people chosen to carry out these 'security MO's.

I keep saying the same thing, but the last time I did a Freeper kindly told me that I didn't know what I was talking about since I didn't add that the TSA is likely to attack train and bus passengers. Maybe so, but that still doesn't take away from the argument to just ditch the airline industry. They don't fight for us, so to hell with them.
Those are the consequences of cowards unwilling to fight a real war. Keep putting that war off, and continue to live with the consequences of the wonderful civilian police work.

Many of them are from Somalia and Yemen. Many have not been here long, speak hardly any English and YET - they keep in daily contact with people in the 4-5 major cities across the country where terror cells are known to be.

I suspect the muzzies are laughing themselves silly watching Americans being molested at Airports - where they send some sucker through, like the undie bomber, just to keep the morons in homeland security concentrating on planes.
Meanwhile, anyone with a big rig can drive right up to refineries, power plants, dams, etc. A few big rigs filled with explosives can make some really big bangs. Oh, and most of these muzzies - where do they get the average $5,000 to go through trucking school?

I must have forgotten about those 95 year old women flying planes into buildings or shooting up military installations, or, the best of all making youtube videos decrying “stereotying” and “demonization” of the elderly, meanwhile plotting to kill people with machine guns.

I keep going back to why the MSM and the Liberal/Left haven’t been screaming about civil rights abuse the way they did during Bush. Then too, I feel that some sort of large protest will erupt if the TSA does hit trains and buses and freeway entry points. And again, so far they’ve only been targeting White’s - when was the last Black, Asian, ME person been searched who yelled ‘discrimination/profiling’???? Nary a peep. Why? TSA hands-off policy???
