You've probably heard stories of alligators swimmin' in storm sewers. Stories?? Just ask the folks at Hilton Head Plantation.
Residents say a nine foot gator weighing over 200 pounds has been trapped in a storm drain for two months. At first they thought he was just making his way back and forth to the same location, but after hearing some loud hisses, neighbors quickly realized the reptile needed help.
Resident Joe Hanley said, "Alligators are not my favorite animal, but I understand that they're here and I don't wish them any ill will. I don't want to see an animal suffer and being trapped in a confined space like that with no food, no water I think is inhumane."
The gator was freed early Friday afternoon by Critter Management and is said to be healthy and active. Crews have safely relocated the animal to a lagoon.
Any gators in that lake?
Good one, ac
Glad to hear they rescued it!

Gators function best when fried. That sewer gator could have been dispatched easily and then removed in handy sized pieces.
Nothing compared to what the Gators are going to do to the Gamecocks.
Exactly so. I like deep fried gator.
I prefer deep fried Gamecock hen, myself.
The chicken fans in Columbia SC tell me they won two of three this year from the Gators. I point out the Gators won two out of three in Columbia last year when the chickens won the world series.
It's about this week, not a few weeks ago. GO GATORS
If we win, we would be the first program ever to win Football, Basketball and Baseball titles within 5 years....actually very few schools even have one title in all three, I think only Michigan and Ohio State, have won all three.
Critter Management? Is that a government office or a private company?

Never had one. I’m not a sports fan so could care a less about Clemson or USC or the Florida Gators.
“Is that a government office or a private company?”
Obviously private, no government office would have that clear and succinct a title.
