LDS church owns $5 billion worth of farmland worldwide, tops this list of investors. http://u.blakeclan.org/co
I had no idea the mormon church owned so much farmland.
LDS farm land produces food to stock the “bishop’s storehouse”. 5he
food resources are made available to church members having
financial difficulties. They do some work on church properties as
“in kind” labor for the food. It’s short term assistance to get people
back on their feet. The church also rounds up those resources to help
people around the world when natural disasters strike. Processing of
the crops into finished products is accomplished by members of the
church volunteering time. I’ve filleted hundreds of pounds of tuna in
an evening. One night I ran the canning machine. 100,000 six ounce cans of tuna were produced that night. We had close to 60 people working that shift.
And in posting this here in this particular thread, the inference is?
They grow food, have large cattle ranches, have canneries - and FEED THEIR OWN and countless hundreds of thousands of others when natural disaster strikes - around the world.
For one example - Haiti: “...provided over one million pounds (25 semitrucks) of food, hygiene kits, water filtration bottles, water systems, and medical supplies such as medicine and wheelchairs. Two thousand seven hundred tents have been distributed to families forced to leave their homes. ...
has had medical teams on the ground since January 16. The physicians are tending to the wounded by performing surgeries, setting broken bones, and providing other medical attention as needed. Physician teams continue to treat children and families in clinics established at these nine facilities...”
For their members in need of help in time of illness or job loss, they do not go on public welfare. In dire straights, the church even pays rent, utilities, etc. Does yours?
These are the reasons the church has so much land - not to control, but to follow His teachings.
Like Paul Harvey said: “If all churches followed the LDS welfare program, there would be no need for gov’t welfare.”
They are simply adhering to the admonition to take care of the poor and the hungry. That's a bit different from Soros and cronies purposes.
The church is among the first on the ground in catastrophes with plane/truck loads of food and supplies - and people. Few people are aware of that either. the church doesn't publicize it.

At least the LDS folks hold the Constitution to have semi-sacred status. Rather like property rights once did, in the pre-Liberal era.
The Mormon Church walks the talk. Their members prepare for the worse while working toward the best.
That is excellent advice regardless of your faith when you consider the uncertainty the Obama administration has placed the nation in.

I did.. they own a ton of it in our area. They seem to be just "sitting" on it.
