I’ve been skeptical on Palin, both on her chances to win if she does run, and on her intentions to run at all.

However, last week, I witnessed a rather interesting conversation, that could be taken either way.

One of my coworkers (female, Hispanic, and generally Democrat but with some conservative tendencies), was talking with another coworker I know to be a conservative.

The coworker mentioned that she was “no fan of Sarah Palin” but that she LOVED “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” and that it showed how beautiful the state was, that she really loved her state and was impressed by her on that show.

He chuckled and said “Well I’m no Palin fan either” but then agreed how beautiful AK was, and that she did a good job with the show.

So, it could either mean that, simply, they like what they saw of Alaska and the show itself, or, perhaps, that deep down, maybe they could warm up to Palin over time, but still feel it’s socially important to add that “I’m no Palin Fan” disclaimer when speaking positively of her.

My guess is neither one would vote for her at this point, being Maryland and all...but who knows?

Hmmm, usually the “but” after the 1st sentence negates that sentence.

It’s what is said after that matters.

Sounds like they would vote for her. Rush has been speaking a lot about the people who say “I love Sarah, but.....she can’t win.”

They really don’t love Sarah.

I’m going to disagree with you. What was said to you was a clear “fishing” comment. That person loves Sarah, but is afraid to say it out loud for fear some of the liberal “friends” will find out and make fun of them. People are doing that all over the place. They drop hints and want to be validated in their feelings. That is why those of us who love and trust Sarah must feel free to say out loud and clearly that we believe that Sarah will make the greatest president since Reagan.
