One of the most talked about subjects in politics is whether or not Sarah Palin will run for the presidency. It's frankly anyone's guess which direction she will go with her decision and when she will make the decision. However, if Palin doesn't run it will be a disaster for the Republican Party and quite possibly the country
*snip*
In watching the coverage of the announced candidates, the alarm bells should be clanging violently.
*snip*
If Sarah Palin doesn't run for president, the operatives in the media and Beltway establishment will have learned a fool-proof method of destroying any political opponent.
*snip*
When the political calculus is done, it is clear that Palin is the only real conservative with libertarian leanings that can possibly be elected in the country. Although there are other conservatives with promise such as Bachmann, Cain, and West, they have not been subjected to the vetting that Sarah Palin has and there should be no doubt that the media will do everything they possibly can to destroy them should they win the nomination.

Have at it ping.
((ping-a-ling-a-ding-dong))
Sarah is far and away my first choice. I'm not even sure I have a second choice at this point.
Palin Ping
show me someone else that has gone after pork not only in the opposing party but their party as well, and i’ll consider them
Even if I have to write them in.
If she brings a campaign to the people of the USA that goes over the heads of the media, the ground will shift big time and she will have the opportunity to demonstrate just how wrong they have been.
There may not be a more important thing to do than bring down the media in the eyes of the American people.
Is she even running? Thats a question right there.
(((((PING)))))
With the rise of new media and the decline of Katie Couric and Dan Rather, etc. I think it is indeed possible that a smart politician can run against the MSM and actually open people’s eyes. If we get Voter ID in a few states, and if people realize that the MSM is a propaganda arm of the DNC, then the whole world of electoral politics will never be the same. Palin can do this and no one else can, I think.
Excellent post.
Note to GOP contenders
Ponder the underlying truth in the old movie cliche,
“It’s quiet out there. Too quiet. I don’t like this”
Excerpt:
“....Assuming that Sarah Palin doesn’t run the campaign will go sort of like this: the media will talk up the largest RINO they can find in an attempt to split the Republican Party from within. However, the real dirt will be kept securely under wraps. As the Republican primary nears its close, the research effort will go into full force. They will send squads of lawyers to go into every tiny detail of the candidate’s personal and professional life. They will examine every detail of the life of the nominee from the day of their birth. The researchers will talk to every ex-boyfriend or girlfriend, every business partner, and any employees they can find.”
“After the primary is over, they will start to dump the juiciest tidbits in carefully edited and scripted special stories. National interviews will be granted to jilted lovers and business acquaintances that felt wronged by the candidate, or perhaps could be persuaded to feel wronged with a little interview stipend. The candidate will be mocked for their lack of intelligence and any microscopic mispronunciation or slip of the tongue will result in a weeklong national news cycle about why that candidate is too stupid to be president. The candidate will not have time to counter the perception and, combined with the media adoration of Obama, likely Obama would get another four years....”
I would thoroughly enjoy watching her continue to do it all from the WH for eight years.
Yep, the article speaks my words exactly: Sarah has to run now, whether one calls it fate, divine calling or whatever else because if not, then the media and the Establishment Republicans will win and win big I mind you. We will not hear the end of the gloating and musing about how “They” were right about Sarah running away and how “They” were able to stop her because “They” hold the power to raise people up or to bring down people they don’t like down. We will then see the media and anonymous Republican sources backstabbing other candidates so that Obama gets his 2nd term and Jeb Bush gets “his turn” in a open 2016 election.....they don’t think about the country well being but of who’s turn is it!!!
Both my wife and I will vote for Sarah Palin!!
Be Ever Vigilant!!
There is plenty of time, she could wait until Labor Day if she chose to. If she has decided to run, she has also considered her timetable. I trust her instincts, and hope she runs, but won't be shattered if she does not.
The fight ultimately is against Obama and his minions, he must lose or we're screwed.
This is an excellent, measured and spot on article IMO.
Too little is made of Palin’s libertarian-conservative leanings and the pitfalls of the more fundamentalist-style conservatives otherwise in the race. (E.g., the Bachmanns’ ‘Christian counseling business’? Bachmann’s opposition to gay marriage as her signature issue? Just wait until the Dems decide it’s time to make hay with that.)
Palin has been steady and forthright in her entirely conservative social positions and she has obviously walked the walk. But you never, ever hear her sounding hateful or hatefully judgmental about those who disagree with her. Throughout her career she has been consciously aware of reaching out to independent/libertarian types who are so prevalent in AK (and her family). You don’t see her compromising away her socially conservative principles, but they don’t get in the way of her focusing on the central economic issues that unite her constituents.
She has far more potential to be embraced by moderates and independents than does even the more big-governmentally and Establishmentally moderate Perry, who chooses to adopt a jarringly affected macho-conservative communication style.
She’s the real deal.
BTTT for your post. Well said.
