I hate these early starts but the train is picking up steam in a hurry with the beltway crowd trying to frontload the race with RINO governors. In fact I think the early start is an intentional aid to the chosen RINOs who are well funded for outlasting the competition. It's not clear to me when the window closes. I'd say some time in the fall, late fall if there is no clear front runner (and Mitt will not count as a GOP front runner even if, God forbid, he gets the nomination a year from now).

A good, positive article, but "Queen of the Tea Party"?
I think you (and other Bachmann supporters) have been on record as saying no one (meaning Palin) is head of the Tea party.
I'm certain you'll all being correcting that on this thread....../s

I think Sarah Palin entering the race early will help eliminate guys like Huntsman, Gingrich, and Pawlenty.
While I’m not a fan, I was actually kind of impressed with Santorum’s answers to Glenn Beck yesterday. He actually seemed to have paid attention to Obama’s bashing of America during the 08 election. There’s something wrong when a man can bash the country he’s running to lead.
On the other hand, Santorum showed a big government bent when talking about the fed.

Whenever she is asked if she is the head of the Tea Party, Sarah Palin emphatically denies it saying there is no leader of the Tea Party; that it is a grass roots movement, which is what makes it so great,
Michele Bachmann, on the other hand, attempts to portray herself as the leader of the Tea Party.

The question of Romney care was an opportunity for Representative Bachmann to give her philosophical position on the proper role of government and the individual at all levels of government. It was one more opportunity to see if her "fiscal" conservatism is skin deep or if it goes all the way to the bone. In opportunity to sand up for individual choice and sound the warning call against an overreaching government at all levels. Remember, Tea Party activists don't' just operate at the Federal level. People are working at local and state levels to take back their government. And as the potential "Head" of the Republican Party , she needs to understand that.
I think it was a missed opportunity, but not altogether unexpected. Her vote on ethanol subsidies and her unwillingness to shut down the government during the CRA should give people pause. But it won't.
I am not convinced that Mrs. Bachmann is a small government conservative, but rather a targeted government Republican.
Yep, people here will tell me I'm FOS, but you know what? it won't be the first time and it certainly won't be the last time.

That one bothered me a lot.
She made a big mistake there, and has given me a level of mistrust for her by not going after romneycare when the opportunity was given to her on a silver platter.
We'll see. There's a long way to go here.

Romneycare is a problem for one state. I dont care what Mass. does. Good grief, that is one pathetic excuse and demonstrates a lack of conservative intellect.
To effectively state you have no problem with BIG GOVT SOCIALISM in Mass speaks volumes of your limited intellect and lack of any conservativism in your body.
Yea, let's not criticize any socialism just so bachman can be Mittens' VP.
And how's your spinning of Tokyo Rove/Bachman history of teaming together?

Coming from you who's gone after Palin left and right.
Simple solution: leave. Or go to DU and try to push Bachmann. The fact you've even compared FR to DU exposes you as a fraud.

Romney/Bachmann is another McCain/Palin losing ticket.
Palin/Bachmann is the winning combination.
