Considering the VAST majority of Domestic Violence is committed by women, and considering the police would have been all over the husband anyway (that’s the way it’s done), there is no reason to come to the conclusion that the husband did anything.
If he’s that easy (I know the type), that she doesn’t even know her co-adulterer’s name, then I agree the husband should “drop her like she’s hot.”
Maybe they are swingers. We have a lot of that going on these days.

Maybe it was committed by a woman in the one case you know about, but beating up your partner is definitely a male dominated pursuit.
