"my liberal friends" I've visited this site for many years and have read lots of posts. Never have more obnoxious words been strung together. Do you think liberals are morally superior to abortionists? Child rapist? Serial murderers? Do you call them your friends? Liberalism is the font of all evil. And you cavort with it.

It’s called on-the-job training, and I’m sure Palin would get up to speed quickly.

Tell your friend she is correct and that Sarah Palin is ineluctable.
She will have to think about that one for a bit.

but is she able to run all US states Given that your friend apparently thinks that Obama is running the country - you might ask her if she got her morning wake up call from the President. And if she didn't, you might ask her how she possibly knew what to do for the day without getting her morning briefing from the President?

You need to talk your friend's language. You should say something like, "I'm really disappointed in you. I never took you for a woman hater."
Then I'd point my nose towards the sky and walk away.

Sarah Palin is sitting on between 11 and 12 years executive experience. This is more than almost any other President we have had.
The Governorship of Alaska as defined by the state Constitution is the most powerful in the nation. This has left Sarah Palin uniquely qualified to go from being the most powerful Governor in the nation to being the most powerful national leader in the world.

It is not the job of the president to run all 50 states. The States run themselves. It is the job of the president to run the Federal goverment which is limited constitutionally to protect the States.
It is not the job of the Federal Government to concern itself with the internal governance of the States. No one organization of men could ever competently govern a Federation so vast as this.
To: American Dream 246
Explain federalism to your friend. The president is not supposed to run any states, 50 or 57.

She then said: OK so she did a great job in Alaska, but is she able to run all US states (in all fairness, she did not say 57..). These people have an answer for everything..darn! What would you say to that - besides telling her that she voted for the one who had so much experience..?
Wow. Where to start? Great that she admitted Palin did a great job (if it was sincere), but since when does a President "run all US states"? Maybe she meant "country". You can tell her that everything Palin has "run" so far has done exceeding well - city, state, private business, etc., and those are some of the characteristics that make a great President. Obama never ran anything other than his mouth, and has discovered (as has his mind-numbed followers) that it doesn't count for much when you are sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office.
The fact that you think her response was somehow "an answer for everything" is odd. As someone else posted, that was a softball response. You should have been able to write a book on that.
The bigger question is why are you trying to sell her on Palin when Palin hasn't even announced yet? I would just keep agreeing with her on how horrible Obama has been. Let her get to the point where she would vote for a bum on the street before she'll throw her vote away on Obama again. No need to put her on the offensive about a candidate who isn't even declared yet, especially if you aren't able to answer a simple question like the one she posed. WHEN Palin announces, you can tell her all the reasons you are supporting Palin (if that's the case).

These people have an answer for everything..darn! What would you say to that - besides telling her that she voted for the one who had so much experience..?Remind her that Clinton had only been Governor of Arkansas when he was elected and then ask her what she thought of how he ran the country.

I would say that running a state the size of Alaska - and dealing with the oil barons, cutting them down to size, and having the highest security clearance of any other governor due to the closeness of Russia - just 3 miles off the coast (You CAN see Russia from Alaska) - is a heckava lot more experience than a junior senator from Illinois who voted ‘present’ more than yes or no on bills.
That's not even mentioning all her other EXECUTIVE experience prior to becoming governor, also an EXECUTIVE job -
PRESIDENT is an EXECUTIVE job.

Give her the best answer: Sarah is FAR more qualified than Obama was elected. The fact that Obama had NO executive experience (not even so much as president of a PTO) didn’t seem to matter to liberals three years ago.

Your friend probably had or knows someone who had an abortion. This leads to all sort of rationalizing to vote against a GOPer. To do otherwise is to admit that they did something bad or someone they love did something bad. Palin is a reminder of their sin.
