I know it is fashionable to bash both the messiah and Karzi but They may both be right.

First and completely aside from the topic. When it come to corruption, Karzi is a piker compared to Obama.

There can be a force reduction that won’t matter if the remaining troops are allowed to engage in unrestricted war against the Taliban.

That won’t happen if Obama is CIC. if however the Americans are gone, the newly trained Afghan special forces can engage in unrestricted war. They can eradicate the fanatics by killing them and their families. Killing the Taliban is the only real solution.

Dead Taliban means the Al Qeada remnants will find another home.

I wonder what that POS would say if the withdrawal including no more money was part of it.

No, I don’t really wonder, he would be screaming for us to stay.

Of course they’ll blame us...no different then the welfare people here in the US laying blame when they can’t keep robbing the system intended for the truly needy. When you make people dependant on you... they will always blame you once the spigot is turned off...and they trash the places they’ve been given. Human nature doesn’t not chnage.

Well if the Karzi military will do that...all the more power to them. But I doubt they’ll do that for long before other tribal factions will take sides and it’ll be all out war amongst themselves all over again. Then after they destroy their country, yet again, the worse of the worst will take over and we’ll hear once more the cry how it’s all the US’s fault. History is bound to repeat itself in Afghanistan regardless of the help they get.

Karzai, for the way he trashes and threatens the US and his silence on Taiban atrocities, leaves one with with the thought that the guy is either a closet Taiban himself, or has been bought off in some way by the Taiban. Karzai seems to be working overtime to make resistance to the Taliban futile.

Hard to win hearts, minds and the war over there with Karzai as President.

A case of “With friends like Karzai, who needs an enemy?”

You’d think after the U.S. tax payers got screwed for the 10,000th time, they’d wise up to all this seeet.

Nothing new... We go into Iraq and within a few years, thousands dead, tens of hundreds of billions in tax dollars later, our economy is circling the drain, millions out of jobs, borders an international embarrassment, and national security disaster, the dollar worthless, and gas has freaking doubled..

WTF did we win?

I have a Brother-in-Law risking his life in that man’s country. I’m so angry that my eyes are watering. There isn’t a single person in that crap hole worth him getting a sun burn for, much less losing his life.

I too am a veteran from that other war, I fully understand your comment...Anger doesn't begin to describe it...Armor plated, searing contempt...

The entire Mideast is corrupt. Ya can't trust any of them. I had a Mideasterner one time, actually tell me that.

"Officially" it costs the US $120 billion a year to finance our military presence in Afghanistan and all the other related functions to keep Karzai in power. Probably the figure is higher, much higher ...lots of CIA and other covert funds don’t get reported........$150 billion is probably far too low. Think trillions.

Hamid Karzai was pulled out of obscurity some years ago, thought to be an Afghan hack who could be manipulated. Prodded by the duplicitous neocons with hidden agendas, the US government orchestrated Karzai into a world-recognized power. And ever since US taxpayers, and our military, have been paying the price.

Heck, the US taxpayer got to subsidize one of the three most corrupt governments on the face of the Earth. The Karzai's are stealing billions---and were actually seen shamelessly loading billions on trucks to transport out of their godforsaken country...so that they could enjoy life far, far away from that hellhole.

US taxpayers have enriched Hamid, and his corrupt brother, the rest of the Karzai Klan and countless members of their extended family..........a nauseating assortment of cut throats, drug traffickers, embezzlers, money launderers, extortionists, thieves.....

One of the most successful scams is located at the Bank of Kabul where the definition of a “loan” for the well-connected is "all the money you can take with no intention of ever paying it back." So far, the known bank “losses” are something like a billion dollars PLUS......."withdrawn" from US money deposited there by the military, the CIA, the State Dept. and all the other US agencies that were duped into financing this colossal foreign policy failure.

Of course....the war-profiteering neocons got their cut. Neocon Richard Perle is starting an oil business in the Mideast. And if he ever dares sells even one barrel of oil, he should be charged with treason.

At this point the oligarchy just ignores the few dissenters(AKA tea party/others)and just goes straight to their partners in crime (federal reserve/printing press) for their thievery.

I'm sure they are just amazed as we are....that they are getting away with it, and have been able to for so long.

But hey, enough of that....whats going on in the Casey Anthony trial? Or with Wiener's wiener?

Bye bye to a once great country...

....that turned lazy and stupid on one end...greedy, selfish and corrupt on the other.
