Heseems to entering the 2012 POTUS race at the end of the month and the article states he is late to the show; of running. I remember hearing something about some Tx business he had to do before he could think about running so this is why he is late and missed the debates.

If you're right and Perry's in, then I doubt Palin will run. She'll endorse Perry and the choice will rapidly come into focus: Perry or Romney. Everyone else is a nonstarter.

For conservatives the choice is no choice at all. Perry is not perfect but Romney is a progressive; his nomination would turn 2012 into yet another lose/lose proposition. It might also trigger a serious third-party candidacy that would give Obama his only chance at victory. Romney as President would be marginally better than Obama and marginally worse than Bush. Perry would be an improvement on both. He meets the minimum requirements for a GOP nominee and Romney doesn't.

If Governor Perry is getting in then he's got to be our guy, warts and all. He's a bit of a let down for those of us who have been dreaming of Sarah, but he'll do.
