People need to understand amnesty by another name is still amnesty. Glossed over amnesty is still amnesty and in no way guarantees future votes for republicans. In fact, the uneducated and needy 3 worlders will most likely give the democrats the edge in the future.
The dems may lose this round. In fact, they may like it if another republican takes the credit for mass amnesty. They can always say, well, we didn't do it, you did.
I understand the picture, but in the primary I will vote for Bachmann because she has it right on this issue.
In the General, if isn't a conservative, I will vote against Obama, but I won't be pumped about it.
Perry is still kind of a blank page to most people outside of Texas, so I’ve been trying to learn up on him.
The more I learn, the more I feel he has the same achille’s heel that GW Bush had—from a conservative perspective he’s great on some things, but awful on other things.
Should he get into the race, I think he’ll split the establishment vote (Romney’s, Huntsman’s, & Pawlenty’s base). I don’t see him gathering much in the way of Tea Party support.
MB’s candidacy is a waste of time and effort that is badly needed elsewhere. And in any case, where immigration is concerned Perry is not good, but he's a whole lot better than the last two GOP nominees. He's a step up in every category.
