Bachmann wrote the letter urging the president to pardon Vennes for his 1987 conviction on federal money laundering, illegal firearm sales and cocaine distribution charges. He was sentenced to five years in federal prison.
Vennes, has been a major financial contributor to Bachmann since 2005. Was Bachmanns letter in support of Vennes presidential pardon a quid pro quo for Vennes largesse? Until Bachmann releases her original letter, the motivation behind it wont be known. Bachmann chief of staff Michele Marston told Minnesota Independent Monday that Were trying to track down a copy of that letter."

So is every other politician who is running for the office of president!
How do you like them big, bold apples?
Government's going to default, regardless of who becomes the next president. We may as well get it over with, and use the opportunity to rebuild with better leadership at every level of business, government and academia.

Now the creep is in trouble again which proves he never really reformed and Bachmann will take money from anyone to fund her campaigns. Hiring Ed Rollins should speak volumes in itself. But was he in trouble when he was making those donations and Bachmann wrote the letter? He is in trouble now and she withdrew the letter. Hell, 90% of the time Democrats who find themselves with proven dirty money don't even bother to return it.

So let me get this straight. This guy was convicted 1987. In 2005, after apparently becoming an upstanding citizen, donating to Bachmann and other Republicans, Bachmann wrote a letter in support of a pardon. Yep
What am I missing here?
That she withdrew the letter recommending a pardon at the first sign that he might not be the upstanding citizen she thought.
Horrific, isn't it? /s

I wonder what Bachmann’s opinion is of posting comments on FR to yourself.

I can’t say Bachmann is pure as the driven snow, but she’s one of the few people in Congress addressing issues that I care about. I haven’t caught her making mistakes. I’ve thought quite highly of her based on what I’ve seen of her.
She stood up for the Tea Party and either started a caucus for them or helped start one. If that’s someone’s idea of a flawed politician, I’d like a double serving.
This wreaks of gotcha politics, and I’m not too impressed.

Grasping at straws, writing a letter is not a gate anything. Damn, get a life.
To: calcowgirl
I am shocked I tell you I am just shocked, a politician wrote a pardon request for someone out of jail and she did not have the good sense to look at a crystal ball to see if he may get in trouble again. Hell let’s horse whip her. What silly BS.

What is it about 24 hour obsessive hatred towards Bachmann?
Post you threads then leave it alone. We can read, and we're not idiots.
I hate Romney but I don't obsess over it.
