*Sigh* Reports of Tour Demise Are Greatly Exaggerated

Imagine our surprise when reading media reports today that the “One Nation Tour” has been cancelled. Why didn’t anyone tell me? Oh, wait, that’s because it hasn’t been cancelled. (Good ol' media... you never cease to amaze!)

As I said myself at the end of the east coast leg of the tour, the summer is long, and I’m looking forward to hitting the open road again. The coming weeks are tight because civic duty calls (like most everyone else, even former governors get called up for jury duty) and I look forward to doing my part just like every other Alaskan.

I wouldn’t think it to be such a slow news day that, what with numerous wars and serious economic woes concerning Americans, a bus is driving news stories today. The next leg of the tour continues when the time comes. In the meantime, no one should jump to conclusions – certainly not the media with their long track record of getting things wrong or just making things up.

Dollars to donuts says Mr. Ed is behind some of this media mischief. His back bencher needs the cash that is standing on the sidelines awaiting the Governor's decision. He is sadly mistaken if he thinks money that would go to Governor Palin would automatically go to Representative Bachmann.

This is scary though... 3 bus drivers out of work because of Jury duty and Gov Palin.

I read that Gov. Palin put her bus tour on hold because she did her civic duty by serving on a jury! What an inspiration she is. She could have easily requested to be exempt, but didn't. I didn't think she could rise any higher in my estimation, but she has. Of course, few are mentioning WHY her vacation was put on hold. Neither is there any mention of what was found in those 24,000 e-mails other than what a blessing Trig would be. There is little mention of that either.

Oh you know that I know all that. Gee, nobody studies SP any more than I do. Just saying, they pushed her to respond and I wish she had let them stew in the lie. She seems to be more effective when she goes underground and keeps them guessing and worried. Of course I’m glad to know that she has not cut short the tours. Looking forward to that.
