Following a three-day manhunt, an unemployed Army veteran was arrested today for allegedly killing four people at a Long Island pharmacy, and later identified as the shooter by a witness in a police lineup, authorities said.
David Laffer, 33, was arrested by Suffolk County police at about 10 a.m. at his Medford home.
Shortly after Laffer's arrest, his wife Melinda Brady, 29, was also taken into custody, cuffed and placed in another car.
Sources said Laffer's wife is believed to have driven the getaway car following the massacre.
The fiance of one of the shooting victims, James Manzella, was waiting for Jamie Taccetta in his car outside in the parking lot.
Manzella, the only person to see the shooter leave the store, identified Laffer as the gunman during a police lineup in Patchogue.

It’s like the editorial board of the NY Times conspired to create the perfect crime. No wait, he wasn’t wearing a Palin t-shirt. I suppose the can just make up that detail for extra flair.
That was the crucial thing in this. He murdered three other people who were not Hispanic, btw. This was not a political crime and you shouldn't try to turn it into one.
The guy was a low-life druggie, and we have scads of them like him here in Florida. Frankly, I thought he was going to turn up here. One of these creeps blew away some poor lady working as a gas station clerk not that long ago, and they are always dragging their scrawny butts into convenience stores and even banks to try to stick them up to get money to spend at the "pain control centers" (prescription drug mills) that Gov Scott is trying to shut down.
They're a blight on the human race.
By the looks of the guy on the NY Post website, it looks like he was already dragged behind a car. Someone beat him up real good.

The cops no doubt(and good for them) the dirt bag prolly ‘’resisted’’ arrest. For Gods sake, I’ve never understood why, if you’ve been given the money or what ever, why do you have to kill? Armed robbery is awful enough but you’ve got what you wanted, why not just leave?
Exactly! This such death penalty bait. In my small town we had an elderly lady who was beaten to death in a home robbery invasion. The thugs got their “loot”. She obviously isn’t going to resist 3 of “Holder’s people”. Killing her was completely unnecessary and monstrous.
