That's what we need. A rubber-stamp Congress.

They should run on that.

This ground has been plowed many times before. Sarah endorsed McCain for Senate as a final act of loyalty and that bill is now paid in full. She was presented with a choice between bad and worse and chose bad. Had she failed to endorse him, she would have brought upon herself much more trouble than it was worth. Take it to the bank that Sarah has many, many differences with McCain and his policies. She is done with him.

. . which would grant Mr. Obama “limited” authorization to continue using force.

Oh, editor.

You left out an important word.

Deadly force.

Just so everyone knows.

So much for “days, not weeks”.

Traitors...both of them.

Thank God a solid Reagan Conservative like McLame beat that RINO leftist JD Hayworth. Who know what dangerous, poorly thought out policies JD would be pushing now if he won?

Would have been nice to have witnessed an undivided 2010 Tea Party effort in AZ.

It is indeed a bizzaro world we live in. I would have never thought the POW and the traitor would have anything in common.

Why must the RINOs join the DNC (”al Qaeda in America”?)
to help “al Qaeda in Libya”?

And why must US taxpayers pay for this treason?

this limited use of American forces for a limited duration — it would expire in a year.

Guess that puts the lie to the fib being told over the last couple of weeks...that Ghaddafi's fall was "imminent".

It’s amazing to realize that it’s actually possible for me to feel more disgust for John McCain that I already did.

Ain't that the truth! But I do.

Wait a minute?

Is Obama asking for this legislation? No he is not. Then why are these two jerks offering to “authorize” something that Mr. Obama has not sought their legislative consent and authorization for?

If it was to “legalize” what we are doing then (1) Mr. Obama would asking for their legislative consent and authorization for our actions in Libya and (2) these two Senators would be demanding that Mr. Obama stop our actions in Libya if their legislation is not approved. Neither of which is true in this case.

As legislators it makes no sense. It’s pure agitprop. It’s purely political and purely to provide political, not legal cover for what we are doing in Libya.

As usual, McCain is operating to achieve appearances, not substance.

McCain, you make me proud I did not vote for your sorry ass. I think we need to pass a special tax to pay for this war, anyone that owns a motor yacht over thirty feet and more than two home will pay the cost.

I’d argue she did indeed have to campaign for him. Barring some family issues or health concern she couldn’t not fully back the man for a Senate seat after so recently backing him for President without looking totally foolish.

The traitor and the POW make a most unholy alliance.

What part of the official Obozo administration’s statement about Libya did Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber not understand? The president does NOT require the consent of the governed, the U.S. Congress, or God Himself, to use the full force of our military to blow the living crap out of anyone he pleases, for any reason (and no reason) whatsoever and without explanation? As he told them already, he’s in full compliance with the War Powers Act as long as he doesn’t use the word “war”. Just call it something like Kinetic Military Action, which, in case they haven’t noticed, KMA has the same acronym as Kiss My Ass. Did you guys think that was unintentional? WTF?

I would have never thought the POW and the traitor would have anything in common.

They worked very closely together to end all investigations into POWs in Vietnam.
