Meet Rick Perry The lackluster group of candidates currently vying for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination has created a great deal of angst among conservatives. From Mitt to Newt to TPaw to Ron Paul, there hasn't been anyone who's truly inspired the base and inspired hope. Enter Texas Governor Rick Perry, the movie-star handsome, devout evangelical and fearless governor of Texas who has overseen impressive economic growth in the midst of The Great Recession. Over the weekend, Governor Perry addressed the Republican Leadership Conference, giving an inspiring speech that seemed all but certain to announce his candidacy for the White House in 2012. There will be the usual attacks from the Left, that Perry is too conservative/fundamentalist/Christian/pro-life/etc..., but it's hard to argue with Governor Perry's fiscal credentials. As The Wall Street Journal reports, fully 37% of all new net jobs created in this country since the recovery allegedly began were created in Texas, explaining: Texas is a big state, but its population of 24.7 million isn't that much bigger than the Empire State, about 19.5 million. California is a large state too36.9 millionand yet it's down 11,400 jobs. Mr. Fisher argues that Texas is doing so well relative to other states precisely because it has rejected the economic model that now prevails in Washington, and we'll second that notion. Mr. Fisher notes that all states labor under the same Fed monetary policy and interest rates and federal regulation, but all states have not performed equally well. Texas stands out for its free market and business-friendly climate. Capitalboth human and investmentis highly mobile, and it migrates all the time to the places where the opportunities are larger and the burdens are lower. Texas has no state income tax. Its regulatory conditions are contained and flexible. It is fiscally responsible and government is small. Its right-to-work law doesn't impose unions on businesses or employees. It is open to global trade and competition: Houston, San Antonio and El Paso are entrepôts for commerce, especially in the wake of the North American Free Trade Agreement. Based on his conversations with CEOs and other business leaders, Mr. Fisher says one of Texas's huge competitive advantages is its ongoing reform of the tort system, which has driven litigation costs to record lows. He also cited a rule in place since 1998 in the backwash of the S&L debacle that limits mortgage borrowing to 80% of the appraised value of a home. Like a minimum down payment, this reduces overleveraging and means Texas wasn't hurt as badly by the housing crash as other states. With voters finding the current slate of GOP candidates mostly unappealing, look for Governor Perry to create a big splash should he decide to jump into the 2012 pool. . |

This is the same fake Tea Party organization that trashed Palin a few weeks ago. Does ANYbody know who is behind them? No attempt at subtlety whatsoever.
FWIW, they used an e-mail address that I have pretty much have only given to conservativejobs.com and linkedin.com.

I’m not sure. I have not been active in this one as I have been in Tea Party Patriots, Tea Party Express, and local Tea Party affiliates, or grassfire, or resistnet.

Prophetic words from FReeper ThePatriotsFlag from more than a year ago.
Something special is happening with the Tea Party Movement of today. Of course people will try to gain control of it because it is a very powerful source of energy. But the concern that it is not controlled and therefore doomed is unfounded. It needs not be nor should it be confined ... to a leader, to an organization or to a specific plan. Such activity would nullify the greatness of what it has become to date and could grow to in the future. One neednt worry ... one only need to join the energy, shun people who attempt its control and allow plans to be spur of the moment. With a leader, there is a target, with an organization, a counter-organization, with a plan, a thwarting of the plan. But as pure ENERGY ... nothing can stop it. Think of it as energy ... join it, and be a part of this historical change-making effort.
There is NO NEED for a leader or any OFFICIAL ORGANIZATION!!! Only the media and our opponents in BOTH political parties wish to saddle us with either. Organizations like Tea Party Alert, Tea Party Express, etc will only hinder the Movement. Reject them, and those individuals who wish to "lead" us.

Who has the time to do this kinda stuff? The unemployed? Or perhaps people employed by labor unions? Or government workers? Some hacker needs to expose them.

Reminds me of a lib comment I read about Michele Bachman - claiming she doesn’t know if she is a member of the Tea Party OR of the Republican Party.
Obviously the lib has no clue what the Tea Party IS, and is not.
Morons.
To: Virginia Ridgerunner
Thanks for the ping. Interesting thread. Looks like Mitt’s trying to keep the pot stirred for Rick Perry. I seriously doubt Perry has any ties to this organization.
Romney stirring the pot for Perry while trashing Palin through surrogates doesn’t surprise me. Standard MO for the guy.
Heard tonight that Rick Perry will decide one way or another by July 20.

Fake huh?
Yup.
There is NO NAME of anybody in the e-mail, no quotations, just opinions from the e-mail itself, the owner of the web site is kept secret, I was added to the e-mail list without asking to be on it, and their form cannot list where they got my permission, because they didn't. I bet you didn't sign up for it either, and they have your registration date in the middle of April the way everybody else's is.
This e-mail states that no one in the ENTIRE FIELD of announced candidates inspires hope in Tea Party folks:
From Mitt to Newt to TPaw to Ron Paul, there hasn't been anyone who's truly inspired the base and inspired hope.
Notice that the author couldn't even acknowledge the existence of Cain or Bachmann. The author then goes on the pretend that the only opposition to Perry would come from the left.
Now, you can say that this represents the (for all we know) one person who is the National Tea Party Alert organization, and therefore isn't fake. I maintain that between the secrecy of the site owners, and ham-handedness of its support for a single candidate who is not really associated with the Tea Party at all, and its attacks on all other candidates, that yes, it is a phony organization, eithert done by one man, or as a phony operation from another campaign.
