Bachmanns newly installed political team has had its own battles with message discipline typified by campaign manager Ed Rollins recent comments alleging that former Alaska governor Sarah Palin hasnt been serious over the last few years.
After the incident, Bachmann was very firm with Rollins, according to an adviser to the congresswoman, telling him this should not happen again and that there should be no more press. Bachmann also demanded that Rollins call the Palin people and apologize. She is definitely not tone deaf, the source added.
Bachmanns move to limit her exposure in the wake of her debate performance is a smart strategy designed to avoid accidentally trampling on the momentum she built with that performance.

Such is Palins conservative cachet among the base, I think, that not even Michele Bachmann would feel completely safe from charges of RINO-ism if she had let Rollinss attack slide. Already Ive seen her dismissed by a few people in the comments here and elsewhere as some sort of stalking horse for Romney whose mission is to clear his way to the nomination by siphoning off votes from Pawlenty and Palin

I stated in Post 41 : Why should anyone apologize because Bachmann has no executive experience? She doesn't.
Your post did not address your accusation and my response.
Very well said. And I agree. These women like each other. I would love to see Sarah run..but if she chooses not to at this time, I believe Michelle can count on her support. And if she doesn’t run, a Bachman-Pawlenty (or vice versa)ticket sounds good to me.
Surely you jest...Allahputz is called Allahputz for a reason.
You're right.
Now, if you compare Bachman and Romney, I would not agree because Mitt is not acceptable at this point.
And I dread the thought of his name on the ballot November 2012.
“The majority of conservatives dont care.”
Well then, I guess the supporters of Whatshername-Rolins can shut up and quit worrying about us diehard Palin supporters, seeing how our votes won’t count all that much anyway.
I also have friends that have been laid off and lost their homes. I can’t speak for all of them, but the two I recently spoke with are very upset with this Whatshername-Rollins garbage.
There is only one way that Whatshername-Rollins might be able to turn this around and I don’t believe she has the courage within her to do it.
Nope, still yards wide of the bullseye. Sarah Palin was smeared in public and in my opinion, a public apology is necessary.
rollins should have been dismissed from the bachmann campaign and michelle should have tendered a public apology for bad judgment in hiring the blathering buffoon in the first place.
This is just not good enough.
I’m glad you don’t fall for it.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight...
Too late. The bible is a good reference for this: ‘Out of mouth proceedth the thoughts of the heart.’ She allowed Rollins (with her blessing) to lambast Sarah Palin and she never stepped up to the plate to correct it (until now of course).
Extremely disappointing to find out that Bachmann is nothing more than a political hack.
On a side-note...I cannot remember the specific details of when, but this hack was scheduled to make an appearance with Sarah Palin at a rally/function, and then “backed” out. At the time her ‘excuse’ seemed plausible in that there could be some sort of conflict of interest, (something on those lines).
Looking back, I now believe Bachmann has always had a problem with Palin. Jealousy, or whatever (my gender is stupid overall and completely ignorant).
Bachmann, you should have pursued the Speakership..as it is I wouldn’t trust you any farther than I could fling your stupid-ass.
You’re not gung-ho for Palin, but you felt compelled to email Bachmann and call her a “f*ing idiot” after hearing Rollins comments?
Yeah, I’ll buy “Email a politician and tell them how stupid their actions are just for the hell of it for 100 Alex”
This is total BS.
But Bachmann is a bona fide conservative. To become so invested in another conservative (possible) candidate that you look for reasons to trash the other who IS running is counterproductive to the end goal & is frustratingly childish.
“I also do not see Palin blah, blah, blah.”
You will, Grasshopper, you will.
Pretend it wasn’t a stab will ya. LOL Palin also resigned her job that was her claim to executive experience.
Without excuses, that too, is the truth.
I clicked through the opening link at the source.
It is a National Review piece that has this quote:
I found this still-revelant quote from a 1992 New York Times profile of Rollins: One thing I respect about Ed is that he doesnt leak, said James Lake, a Washington
lawyer and longtime associate who is advising the Bush re-election team. He does more
damage on the record than any leaker that Ive ever seen.
I guess that you didn't bother to check out MB's Facebook page and see exactly how many of her (former) supporters were roasting her over Rollins and his attack.
For your info, it was spread far and wide across the Conservative blogosphere and MSM.
Stars collide: Michele Bachmann vs. Sarah Palin
You can try and deny it if you wish, but the truth of the matter is that everyone is on to MB now.
Your post makes no sense. Go back to the drawing board Grasshopper. LOL
