Bachmanns newly installed political team has had its own battles with message discipline typified by campaign manager Ed Rollins recent comments alleging that former Alaska governor Sarah Palin hasnt been serious over the last few years.
After the incident, Bachmann was very firm with Rollins, according to an adviser to the congresswoman, telling him this should not happen again and that there should be no more press. Bachmann also demanded that Rollins call the Palin people and apologize. She is definitely not tone deaf, the source added.
Bachmanns move to limit her exposure in the wake of her debate performance is a smart strategy designed to avoid accidentally trampling on the momentum she built with that performance.
[.........]
Such is Palins conservative cachet among the base, I think, that not even Michele Bachmann would feel completely safe from charges of RINO-ism if she had let Rollinss attack slide. Already Ive seen her dismissed by a few people in the comments here and elsewhere as some sort of stalking horse for Romney whose mission is to clear his way to the nomination by siphoning off votes from Pawlenty and Palin

The people who run HotAir are NOT in the tank for Palin; that fact is well-known and if you post stuff like that, when you should know better, you call your credibility into question.
Palin does do very well in the HotAir monthly “polls”, but this vote is by the registered members of the site, which are the rank and file conservatives.

I am right there with ya, Gator, on all points.

re: “If Sarah confirms the Rollin apology, Ill feel a bit better,...”
As I read it, Rollins’ ‘apology’ was to Sarah’s team, not Sarah [though his insults and put-downs were to Sarah].
To: Bigtigermike
I wish that Sarah Palin’s supporters could be at least half as strong as she is.
Should Palin seek the nomination, she and Bachmann are going to be adversaries........temporarily. No big deal. We shouldn’t have to gang up on everyone who refuses to submit. At least wait until Palin officially gets in the race. Why do Obama’s work for him?
I don’t care much for Rollins. I do like Michele Bachmann but as a congresswoman, not as president. If someone disagrees with me, that’s their problem, not mine.
I’d prefer we go forward with confidence in our candidate and act like winners.

Cultists can't defend their candidate, just like you two.
You worship her so much, you can't handle criticism, neither are you able to defend what she does.
That's how a cult member handles themselves.
Btw, in case you didn't know it, she's running against every candidate for the GOP nomination, if she wins she'll run against Obama.
But I wouldn't expect a cultist to understand that......

I had the same thought and just LOL at the stupidity of the original comment.

*snort* won’t work Sharky, not on me anyway.
But I do think you should be quite familair with what it is to be a cultist. I trust you would know.
Call me when your candidate is one. Then we will talk turkey. Otherwise back off the conservatives who are running, otherwise you will end up with a big RINO, you may end up with one anyway.

Bachmann only coopted the Tea Party movement on the orders of Karl Rove who plucked her from the backbenches of the Minnesota state legislature and funded her campaign for the House in 06 and personally campaigned for her.
She supports ethanol subsidies and has recieved with her family over 250k in farm subsidies through a family trust for a farm they own.
Michele Bachmann wrote several letters to Bush adm in 2007 advocating a presidential pardon for Frank Vennes who was a large donor to her , Norm Coleman and Tim Pawlenty. Vennes pleaded guilty and no contest to federal charges of money laundering, cocaine and firearms trafficking in 1987.
Bachmann , who used to be a liberal , organized for Jimmy Carter in 76. Now she has Ed "walking around money" Rollins managing her campaign. Rove and the Bush people are working behind the scenes to nominate Romney and made a deal with Bachmann to split the Tea Party vote for the VP spot. That is why Bachmann won't critisize Romney on Romneycare.
Bachmann has no experience as a mayor or governor and has no business experience. Furthermore , she has no legislative success to show for. Bachmann is an emty suit who says the right things for her base , much like Obama in 07.

No, I was blessed with an Electrical Storm on Saturday that knocked out my DSL for two days.
I have a lot of catching up to do, but it sounds like she has been co-opted,but I felt that for weeks. She has changed so much in the last two Months, I am not surprised, just upset that we lost another good conservative.

I won’t read posts in all bold. Perhaps after you take some medication and post like normal folks do I might read it.
I believe you were the one saying Palin was going third party.
Sorry, she would not do that. She would not want to be the person who foisted Obozo on the people for 5 and a half more years.
Get a grip.

When you can explain the actions (and inactions) of your candidate, you'll be on the verge of not being a cultist. I've waited for more than a day for your explanation of why she didn't attack Romney Care when given it as an issue on a silver platter. It's an indefensible faux pas on her part.
I'd like Michele a whole lot better if she didn't have such a bunch of groupie cultist followers.

You are tragically obtuse. I don't think there is a cure for selective blindness. I could point you to dozens, if not hundreds, of bachmann, rollins crap stories, but you would probably dismiss them out of hand. rollins is not an unknown quantity where it comes to Sarah Palin...and bachann knew it full well when she hired him as a hitman. rollins is a political hitman. Make no mistake about it.
Try this:
rollins/Palin

I’ll say if what Ed spouted off with after that episode was his idea of an apology, Michele needs to have another talk with him, because that was one of the lamer ones I’ve ever heard.
