Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Sunday that Congress should not interfere with U.S. operations in Libya.
"Congress should sort of shut up and not empower [Libyan leader Muammar] Qadhafi," Graham said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
Congressional critics of the Libya action have been floating the possibility of defunding military operations there, or invoking the War Powers Act to force an end to the military operation.

“Congress should sort of shut up...”
A novel perspective on our form of government.

Goober Graham will be top of the list to rid in 2014. I live in Tennessee, I’ll contribute to a credible challenger. And so will folks all across this country. I despise him.
To: jakerobins
He’s going to be “shut up” soon when he tries to get re-elected.

Back in the days of the Cold War, this sort of military activity on the part of the U.S. would have been loudly condemned by the Iron Curtain countries as “reckless adventurism” ... and they would have been right. It also would have brought us to the brink of World War III
To invoke a “national interest” as a reason for our participation in the ongoing Libyan rebellion seems somewhat akin to invoking the “commerce clause” to justify federal intervention in every aspect of our lives.

Why not just give Lucy Graham, John McCain, Bill Kristol and the rest of the neocons AK-47 and parachute their worthless butts into the middle of Libya? If Libya is worth dying for, let them put their lives on the line rather than the kid down the block.

Sen. Graham’s behavior on Sunday was disgusting.
I have no respect for this perverted, statist, control freak.
