So many restrictions have been put on free market capitalism.

Good for Gov. Perry and the TX Legislature!

A nice contrast to Maryland, where yet another kid’s lemonade stand drew a 500 dollar fine from gangster government.......

“If you had a kitchen under the same roof where people slept, you were not allowed to sell your food but now this removes this restriction for us,” says Frazier.

So my wife can start charging the kids for those meals she makes and they don’t eat because they drove through the fast-food place...

This is good. Now states need to get rid of laws that say you can’t hand out sandwiches to the homeless without a license. Stupidest law to come along, kids used to love making sandwiches to hand out, but now restaurant license, no food.

Now what did I do with those mixing bowls and that apron? Great news! Keep this up Perry and I may take back a few choice words I’ve said about you in the past......and good for the legislature too. This will help alot of people who need a little extra income right now. Is Texas a great country or what??? :)

I hope Mamasteph doesn’t consider her cats to be her “babies” and lets them run loose in the kitchen, with free access to counter and table tops. Yes, I have seen it.

This is nice.

Now, what the hell are we going to do about the TSA perverts? How about moving toward securing our border with Mexico? Lowering our onerous property taxes?

Talk about a bill that excludes people from starting a business, this should NEVER have been a law. I'm glad the Governor had the gonads to sign the repeal, bit what nit-wit passed this bill in the first place.

If you cannot afford your own dedicated bakery, you are prohibited from starting a business. What other industry has a similar impediment? Don't most businesses start from from the home or garage where the entrepreneur lives? That's how Apple got started, that's how Ross Perot got started. Isn't that how almost every major business in the USA started?

Rat hairs in your peanut butter sandwich and insect fragments in your pasta sauce? Yuck. Yet according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) these defects in certain foods are totally OK.

Title 21, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 110.110 allows the FDA to establish maximum levels of natural or unavoidable defects in foods that you can consume in a given year. Here are some of our favorite foods and their “safe” defects.

The full list is on the FDA’s website.

That’s how crony or “state capitalism” works. Get in with the government and regulate or legislate competition out of business.

This little lesson; Texas on the baker’s bill and Maryland on the lemonade stand fine - really tells us all we need to know about the difference in the liberty based conservative vision for America versus the bureaucratic based liberal vision for America.

It’s all there, in a nutshell.....sometimes we (meaning our sides’ politicians, pundits, etc) make this too hard.
