“Thats not a big deal. Neither is the Guardasil issue, the Trans-Texas Corridor, the sanctuary city thing that Perry just got around to after years, illegals streaming over the border and killing our schools and emergency rooms ( not to mention Texans and police), the franchise tax and other things. Ive learned none of that matters. You will see. It will be pointed out to you soon.
Nope, what matters is what Perry says. Not what he has or has not done. Its not like he was ever a Democrat and buddy to Al Gore. We need to listen to what Perry says. He is saying conservative things so he is not a RINO.
Better get that straight. Rah rah rah Perry.....”
I will say this, the Texas conservatives, DO not like him!!
SOME Texas conservatives don't like him. Some do. I was surprised at the strong support he has among some of the most conservative Texans I know. My take--Perry is a professional politician. As such, he is a little too enamored with what government can do for people and not worried enough about what government does to people. He shares that fault with several others.
Compared to the rest of the field (which I generally like), he is pretty strong. I put him ahead of anyone from Congress because he has successful EXECUTIVE experience in a state that has suffered as little as any other state from Obama's failed recovery. I would rather have Palin, or maybe Cain, but I would take Perry in a minute. Like Romney, he looks presidential (and has good hair--LOL). But he is way more conservative than Romney or Bush and is highly electable. (Yes, I know the Northeast won't vote for a Texan, but they won't vote for any republican.)
“I will say this, the Texas conservatives, DO not like him!!”
I will say you speak for yourself, certainly not for ALL Texas Conservatives.
Of course a Gov. Medina would be liked by all, right?
And we will do what it takes to sink him, both in the primaries and the general election if he makes it that far.
If the GOP sticks to the left in 2012, then there will be a viable third party by 2016.
There, fixed it. See, I know some Texas conservatives who love the guy and you don't speak for them or even a majority of Texan conservatives who seem to have returned this guy to office three times!
Would you at least agree he beats the following: Current OBOZO, Mittens Romney and Chris Christie?
I voted for Perry all three times he ran, given the people who ran against him I assume most sane Texans did. I would vote for Perry, if he runs, in 2012 over anybody that is in now. I think he is much better than any declared candidate that is in the race now. I do not see a perfect candidate in the race now as Pawlenty, Cain, Paul and Bachmann all have weaknesses that I believe will keep them from winning. I think it may come down to Romney or Perry, unless Palin gets into it. I would vote for Perry in a heartbeat if that were the choice before me. I could be all wet, but that is how things look to me.
