I never understood why that was such a big deal. I guess people expect perfect conservatives who never go the wrong way on any issue. I have never seen or heard of one of those, even the great Ronald Reagan signed an abortion bill and an immigration amnesty during his career. People, even great people, sometimes make mistakes.
Usually its because they listened to the advice of a liberal who is VERRRRY close to them.
