KANSAS CITY, MO.— Roger MacBride says that he's used to looking out for trouble in his old Northeast neighborhood. But usually the problems involve prostitutes or drug addicts, and he says that he wasn't ready for what he calls a mob of young troublemakers who threatened his home and family.
Witnesses say that a group of 25 to 30 young teens terrorized the neighborhood on Wednesday. MacBride says that the teens kicked in the door to a neighboring home and broke windows inside. He says when he yelled at the group to get out, they turned on him.
"All of a sudden, this one kid with corn rows comes out and he's like yakety yak, (expletive), da, da, da. He's like we'll kick your (expletive) too you don't (expletive) own this neighborhood, and they are like, literally, 12 of them, start running over here," said MacBride.
MacBride says the teens surrounded his house, picking up rocks and throwing them at him. That's when he says in his eyes, the mob stopped being a bunch of kids and became a big threat. He says the teens were reaching for his door handle when the the sight of his Soviet rifle had an instant reaction.
"I grabbed this and literally just came straight out the porch, came out just like this, and was like now, get the (expletive) out of here," said MacBride. "I literally come out that side door, and these two kids are like, hey, he's got a gun. And then everybody just woosh, they just dispersed totally."
MacBride shudders to think what would have happened if he didn't have his gun. He says an elderly neighbor told him the mob terrorized her as she walked home. And MacBride claims a passing vehicle had a window smashed by the rowdy group.
MacBride says police told him the teens had come from a nearby school, which dismissed early Wednesday, the last day of classes. Security apparently chased the mob off school property when they were causing problems there.
Neighbors were quick to credit the military veteran for taking action to scare the kids away.
"Anymore, that's probably the only solution we have. In order to protect our property and our families. These kids don't realize the tyranny they're bringing on the community. Instead of being a good productive citizen to this country, they want to be thugs," said neighbor Rick Juarez.

I was a typical pain in the butt teenager but in my tiny hometown we still respected our elders enough to leave them alone.
Should make for easy arrests since they just left from a school.
How will citizens defend against this increasing mob mentality? Wonder what this weekend will bring?

If things continue the way they are going with these unruly mobs, expect reverse mob action taken against them by angry formerly law abiding citizens.

Oh come now. Tyranny is exactly what these little monsters are after. They harassed a little old lady but (apparently) did not harm her. That's now. They may get bored as a group animal and en masse decide to up the ante in the future.
Realizations may come later—one can dream—but probably not until one of their group meets up with God's agent of wrath.

You forgot the /sarc tag at the end of your post. Nothing will be done about this. How do you think we got to this point? It is because of incrementally worse and worse behavior that was never corrected. No one died here. No multinational corporation had a recipe stolen. It is 2011 and nowadays threats and property damage is not important enough to be investigated.

But if we were reading this morning that this elder gentleman who was protecting his home had fired his russian rifle and killed two or three of these savages it would be a different story.
Each one of these All American athletes, and scholars would have been loved by their Grandmothers and their neighbors and each would have had promising careers as Doctors, and Professional business men, until their beautiful peaceful lives had been snuffed out by this old criminal who shot spitefully into the crowd of loving and peaceful teens, who were only showing youthful exuberance and celebrating the summer vacation.
Remember this when some store owner cut’s loose on a Flash mob of thievin utes this summer. It’s almost a sure thing as these kids are discovering more and more how easy it is to form a mob and wreck business people’s stores and lives.
There is no quick way to get enough cops on the scene before they run loose-—They know it and the cops know it.
A 12 gauge semi-auto with the plug out and number 4 shot in comes to hand quickly solves the problem instantly and does the world a favor in removing the problem. A couple of instances like this and flash mobs dissappear, no longer unafraid of consequences of their actions.

If groups of decent citizens went after these wild Amish thugs the citizens would be denounced as racist white supremacist Nazis and armed federal agents backed up by the 101st Airborne Division would be called out to protect the thugs! I am not joking. This is what tyranny looks like folks. When civilized people can not legally correct, separate from, or even defend themselves from the uncivilized that is tyranny. Its one of the worst kinds. And the reason for this is very simple. The tyrant uses these uncivilized brutes to disrupt and degrade middle-class civil society so it is much more easy to loot and lord over the productive middle class.
