Although it was not immediately clear what the device was, one official told NBC News that "it looks like a bomb." If they could only know if it were left by a male of middle eastern persuasion between 20 and 35 years of age they could just drop what they are doing and go on with normal business and save some money.
I 'spose it may be a little ol' blue haired lady of Finnish persuasion however and we MUST keep our guard up!

What a cluster: 385 north exit to Washington Blvd closed, to get to Pentagon City you had to get on off at Glebe Road and drive over to Rt. 1, then thru Crystal City. No way to get to over to Clarendon-Ballston from 395 if you don’t get off at the disaster that is Glebe. Gridlock and angry drivers. All it takes is one stupid glitch like this to bring everything to a grinding halt. If there ever were a real disaster, we would all be screwed. Better like where you are when traffic stops, because you’re going to be there for a long, long time. I hope whoever did this goes to prison.

The radical church of the Lutherans? Southern Baptists? Who would do such a Dastardly deed? The Granny Quilting Group in the United Meheodist basement?
The TSA always searches 8 year old little girls and the above list of people.
Only 1 group gets a pass from the MSM. The terrorists are of what persuasion?

I heard the term suspicious “package” and envisioned a cartoon of the police surrounding a UPS truck driven by Anthony Weiner.

Reporter heard “Looks like a bomb” but police said “Looks like a bong”.
Latest report says there is a label on the bottom that says “Property of Steven Dunham”.

It is probably Secretary Gates' S&M outfit/gear for all the June gay day pride parades and orgies he took part in.
One of Bush's biggest mistakes and an example of why cronyism along with Moderate ideology belongs in the private sector where they exceed or fail based on market forces. Publicly Moderate ideological failure is just subsidize as the debt piles on and concerning KIA, a special call/letter to the deceased family, then business as usual.
CIA buddy, buddy with papa Bush enabled one of the biggest flops in the history of the positions of Secretary of Defense and the CIA.

As of 9:40,
per WaPo,
Pentagon scare: Nothing suspicious found in vehicleAuthorities have found nothing suspicious in a vehicle that was found near the Pentagon this morning or on a man that was taken into custody overnight in the Arlington Cemetery, an FBI official said.
Police closed roads around the Pentagon early this morning after discovering the vehicle off Washington Boulevard. Authorities are in the process of reopening the roads.
Interesting how "suspicious" turns into "never mind" so often around this town. I wonder what was really in the vehicle?
