White House political maestro Karl Rove urged money and other forms of support for Republican congressional candidate Michele Bachmann at a Stillwater fundraiser Friday. The Bachmann fundraiser at the Water Street Inn in Stillwater attracted about 60 supporters, who paid $250 for lunch. Couples who contributed $1,000 to Bachmann could have their pictures taken with Rove. The Bachmann campaign did not immediately release the total amount raised.

uh no....she was for the bridge before she was against it.

Name one of the current Republican candidates who's written a book on foreign policy, or who has traveled as extensively to foreign countries in the last two years, as Sarah Palin has.
Your criticism is baseless, and you set an artificial high bar for Palin that you DON'T apply to any other candidate.
Don't forget to list those books!
“I thought we are supposed to be supporting conservative principles not just personalities and in that we are on the SAME TEAM.”
‘Fraid not...
Actually, it was the classless Bachmann campaign that fired the first shots.
My, my, my. That is some serious political naivete. Rove made Bachmann's political career. Do you not understand that he practically OWNS her?
Now, if you actually believe that, I have some swamp land I'd like to show you. As for other candidates writing books, ah, well, Newt Gingrich for one, John Kennedy, Al Gore, Garry Hart, George W. Bush... shall I go on? these are just off the top of my head. I mean, she wrote a book, but why not a serious study of foreign policy? THAT would have helped her tremendously.
She supported it marginally when she ran for office in 2006. She became Governor In December 2006 and nixed the bridge in March or April of 2007.
What you posted was a hit piece. And there were PLENTY of them.
And the countries they've traveled to! Don't forget the countries! LOL
PalinEmails Prove that Governor Palin Opposed the Bridge to Nowhere http://bit.ly/m1WTJy
“That, or he saw her as a loon.”
No, the sly deceit that animates him and the people who still admire him, showed for a moment as he watched his Castle reduced to rubble. Rove was revealed as a corrupt man representing a corrupt elite within a necrotic party which has contributed to a faltering republic.
I read your email links. A lot of them have her saying that because the Feds won’t fund it and other Alaskans don’t see it as a priority, we can’t do the bridge. Then they talk about how to let down the locals that they won’t support the project. Of course they are worried about local reaction because she told them down there in 2006 that she would support it.

It is pretty obvious that if this wasn’t raised as a Federal issue that she likely would have taken the money and built the bridge.
I am actually not faulting her for that position, but highlighting how ludicrous it is to draw all sorts of conclusions on Michelle Bachmann from five years ago yet at the same time trying to pretend that Palin and almost every other politician doesn’t have problematic positions from years past.
Not if she were actually ready to be President I don't.
Thanks for doing my work. ;>)
I’ll be voting for Sarah Palin, Liberty, our Constitution and American Exceptionalism.
Pathetic. KR is the kiss of death for conservatism, freedom, liberty, and all else that we hold true. Although, he himself, is personally a loser, his game was all about winning. Where truth, to him, was of no consequence.
Game over Rover. Do America a favor. Retire you POS RINO.
If Michelle wants a chance, she needs to dump his sorry ass now!
As for other candidates writing books, ah, well, Newt Gingrich for one, John Kennedy, Al Gore, Garry Hart, George W. Bush.
Really? Books on foreign policy? What countries did they travel to before running?
Hmmm.
Kennedy - Profiles in Courage. May have been ghostwritten. Nope. Not foreign policy.
Newt - makes documentaries and wrote Rediscovering God in America. Nope.
Al Gore? LOLOL - An Inconvenient Truth: The Planetary Emergency of Global Warming and What We Can Do About It, The Assault on Reason, Earth in the Balance. Nope. Not foreign policy.
Gary Hart - Under The Eagle's Wing: A National Security Strategy of the United States for 2009. You hit paydirt! Wait. Was that written BEFORE he ran for office? Hm.
George W. Bush - Decision Points. It's a memoir and wasn't written as a candidate.
Well, none of them wrote a foreign policy book BEFORE they ran for office.
And now I'm going to bed. Even if I stayed up all night you wouldn't be able to prove your premise.
Goodnight.
” Rita, I know that Sarah is making you crazy with waiting, but please. Sarahs got plenty of time to declare a run for office. The fact is, shes not late - the rest of the field is early. “ ===============
In any other year I am inclined to agree. Not this year. The delay with Perry and Palin helps one candidate. Romney. It has already. The Palin “delay” opens up support for Bachman, and Cain, who are new and rookies at presidential campaigning and have none to moderate name recognition.
Sarah popping in at her late leisure stands to split then the bots from the base and Romney takes off leaving the splinters. A Karl Rove dream. Why? Because we’re sitting on a stump waiting for Palin? It’s all getting harder and harder to excuse. What’s left for Sarah to not know to cut the drama and make a decision, except she is NOT going to run. But, if you’re cool with it.......learn to spell R-o-m-n-e-y.
Appreciate it gal. If I am going to have someone in my corner I at least want them to be well armed. :)
