Bernie Marcus on the President: "He just doesn't understand it. He never worked a day in his life.

The Home Depot legend wasn't mincing words in my interview with him yesterday. and he wants the president and his team to get a clue. The complete transcript is here.

HH: Let me ask you, Bernie Marcus, people will be very interested in this, do you think we can turn this around? Can this economy go back to the era of growth that Home Depot experienced in the 80s and 90s? Is that possible again?

BM: Listen, the American people are very resilient, unlike other people in the world. We just have to get out of their way. We just have to allow them to grow. And if we don’t do that, and we can’t keep putting in impediments. Look, I know so many small business people today. Nobody wants to expand. They’re not willing to expand today. There’s such uncertainty out there. You have a group of people in Washington today, where they’re the bad guys. I mean, if a man has a successful small business, and he’s making $200,000 dollars a year, he’s the enemy of the world.

HH: Yeah. Do you think the President understands this at all, Bernie Marcus?

BM: I…look, look. I’m sure this guy is, I’m sure his head is in the right place. He just doesn’t understand it. He never worked for a day in his life. How would he know it?

HH: Yeah.

BM: He never had to make a payroll, and he has surrounded himself…there’s a statistic that’s very important. They had a statistic on how many businesspeople worked in every administration. The typical one, the smallest one was something like 35% were in the business world. This administration, it’s 8%. He’s surrounded by college professors, he’s surrounded by economic professionals, but nobody has ever created a job in this administration.

He was also carefully trained as a marxist activist from birth.

Without a doubt. IMO, that's a big part of what's being concealed in his nebulous background. The birth certificate stuff is most likely the tip of the iceberg.

Remember when the Party was shouting about Bush being selected not elected?

The Party selected barak for a reason. He is the front man to be there for photo ops and give glowing speeches written for him. The baraq regime is being run by people who are not front and center. barak is the distraction for the media while the rest of the regime goes about re creating our system.

They list Hillary and Timmy Geitner as having vast private sector experience. Ok, Hillary traded some cattle futures - that counts I guess

"Rose Law Firm" ring a bell? She was a private-practice lawyer in Arkansas.

The 8% figure vs. other administrations, even if a Republican compared Obama to Clinton, would be an effective instrument for a campaign stump speech.

That said, I think giving any politician credit for “creating jobs” is WAY TOO much to credit politicians for. We need the pols to create a favorable regulatory and tax environment for businesses to grow in and get/stay out of the way.

"Look, look....I'm sure this guy's head is in the right place. He just doesn't understand it. He never worked a day in his life. How would he know it?"

Obama DOES understand "IT", my friend Marcus.

Like most prominent people who are now speaking out against the president, Marcus' heart is in the right place, but HIS head isn't. He hasn't educated himself yet.

To people like Marcus, Obama and his czars and cabinet appear to be bumblers, wrecking our economy through stupidity and inexperience.

However, it doesn't make A BIT OF DIFFERENCE that the Usurper never worked a day in his life or not. It makes no difference if he has surrounded himself with academics and idealists who never worked a day in their lives or not. This is NOT the main reason we are tanking in every category there is.

The fact is that Obama and his leftist regime DO "understand it." Obama is anti-capitalist....all his energies are directed toward deliberately ruining our economy. It takes no BUSINESS experience to do this because the Destroyer-in-Chief works from an IDEOLOGICAL Marxist/Alinsky template, NOT from the template of a Home Depot CEO....and he and his regime operatives are highly trained ideologically in how to attain their goals.

I can't even describe how angry and frustrated I feel when I hear O'Reilly and other pundits again and again start a rhetorical question with "....now WHY would the president do something like this?"

The answer, of course, it that he does "this" and "that" because he's a re-distributor of wealth marxist and anti-private business.

Since the Bloviator O'Reilly and others never seem to know the correct answer to their own questions about Obama then they will never know......or they don't want to know......or they DO know but refuse to come out with the stark truth over the air waves....that Obama is a socialist/marxist/commie with fascist overtones for enforcement.

I tend toward the latter answer, myself.

The Multi-trillion Dollar question here is “why hasn’t one politician in Congress stood up and denounced this “deliberate” destruction to our economy, “deliberate” destruction to our Constitution, “deliberate destruction to our security, “deliberate” destruction to our future as a free nation? Not one has called for an investigation into every detail of Obama’s past and present including his Czars? Why hasn’t one politician in this Congress stood up and told the truth? Why hasn’t one agency responsible for our security spoke up? Why all the sealed records? Who sealed them? Absolutely no curiosity out there?

We The People are waiting for these answers. Note the silence of the RNC/GOP as well as all those running for President.

I'm tired of this and I doubt this guy or anyone with an ounce of sense believes this. His head is not in the right place. Obama is a radical and what he is doing is intentional. Time for these people to start telling it like it is.

"Rose Law Firm" ring a bell? She was a private-practice lawyer in Arkansas.

Only because her husband was AG and then governor. The Rose law firm profited mightily from her connection to Bill.

I have an old classmate (couple actually) from UC Berkeley who have turned into the most liberal Democrats you could imagine. He's a lawyer -- retired partner in a maritime law firm. When I mentioned that Hillary was a "litigator" (which is how she was always described during the Whitewater investigation) he just laughed his face off.

"She was NEVER a litigator," he exclaimed. I assured him that it was true, but he wouldn't accept that description, implying that she held some low level position in the firm -- slighly about intern, or para-legal. He's an umpty ump in the Sierra Club plus many other organizations. He has taken cases in all kinds of courts. I figure he knows.

Even if her job was all about her connections and consisted of only providing coffee (and possibly other comforts) to the the real lawyers, it was still private sector.

So the answer to the question “did Hillary ever hold a job outside of government?” is “yes”. And that’s all I’m saying — I’m certainly not here to defend Hillary Clinton, I’m just pointing out a particular fact.

A common rhetorical practice is to grant a premise that you don't necessarily agree with if it doesn't harm your argument. Especially if it helps bolster your argument.

In this particular case, it comes out as "I'm not attacking his motives -- in fact, even if we concede his motives are pure, he's a failure due to incompetence."

Well, if that is the criterion, Obama has worked in the private sector too — Baskin Robbins as a youth in Hawaii.

Note the silence of the RNC/GOP as well as all those running for President.

The apples for the RNC/GOP seem to be solely in Romney's cart. If the cart overturns in 2012, it'll likely be the end of both for all intents and purposes. They have disdain for the tea party and conservatives who put conservatives in congress in 2010. Playing golf with Obama and being pals with democrats (so they can all just get along) takes precedence to doing the peoples' business apparently. If they've preselected our 2012 candidate, what more do they have to do?

It is so true.

You look at his own business failure (the housing project fiasco with Rezko and Jarrett)...he lost over 100 million dollars and it was a complete and utter failure.

No wonder he hates business and capitalism...he SUCKS AT IT!

He is the biggest grifter to ever walk the planet...he is now playing out the longest long con ever pulled in the history of the world!

Sarcasm ring a bell?

In her Rose Law firm years her bio highlights founding a children’s activist organization and her chair position on the Legal Services Corp. Neither achievement screams roll-up-your-sleeves business involvement.

Is peddling her influence as First Lady of Arkansas private sector experience?
