Tea Party group targets Orrin Hatch for defeat

Conservative PAC FreedomWorks, a prominent Tea Party group chaired by former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, is targeting Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch in the 2012 Senate race.

The group, arguing Hatch has insufficiently conservative economic views, is launching the so-called "Retire Orrin Hatch" campaign at Utah's Republican Convention on Saturday.

"It's clear that Senator Hatch is trying to capitalize on the popularity of the Tea Party movement by reinventing himself as a fiscal conservative," said Russ Walker, Vice President of Political and Grassroots Campaigns for FreedomWorks PAC, in a statement. "But his recent rhetoric and actions in favor of limited government simply do not erase decades of bad votes, costing taxpayers trillions of dollars. Indeed Hatch's body of work proves he cannot be trusted to consistently adhere to a fiscally conservative agenda, and possible primary challengers like Representative Jason Chaffetz (R-3, UT)give conservatives in Utah and around the country a great opportunity to trade up."

“Hatch, Boner, McConnell.....(feel free to add on, I’m tired ;-) )”

Why stop there? They ALL need to go.....Dems Repubs....every one!.....if not today, then tomorrow......we need to return to citizen legislators, and rid ourselves of the scourge of the career politician..... AFAIC every election should axe a good % of those that have overstayed their welcome, or have forgotten American principles/values/patriotism (of the flag waving type)

Replace arrogance with humility. These people need to hungry and scared....not fat and sassy.

I haven’t heard yet what Mark said. Would you please tell me? BTW, how do you lock yourself out?

I went into the new posts to you header and was getting ready to make some replies when when I clicked myself out by mistake. Sorry to say I didn't know how to get back in. Had to wait until someone posted something to me to get back in. Mark was quite supportive of Orin and his history of support for conservatives. Needless to say I have a different view, I think Orin uses conservatives to get elected then does what he wants. Like McCain. The reason I thought you would know by now was someone would have helped you out or you would have gone over to Marks web site. Let me pop a tab and see if there is a transcript. OK. No transcript that I could find but I am not a computer guy. Head on over to his website and click the listen live 24/7 button. There is a list of programs going back about a month so if you go to the program on the date of the original post you should be able to hear it. It is in the last hour as I recall. Have a good fourth. Nuc 1

“I went into the new posts to you header and was getting ready to make some replies when when I clicked myself out by mistake. Sorry to say I didn’t know how to get back in.”

Oh. ;o)

After the “new posts to you” red light goes off, you can access your new posts by clicking on the “pings” button. All of the new posts to you, and those you haven’t clicked on, will be there highlighted in blue. The same goes for your mail button. The reason it says “new posts to you”, and “you have mail” is to alert you to those things since the last time you logged in. However, you can get to them anytime by clicking on “pings” and “mail.”

I know there are certain times that Mark has praised Hatch, and those times Hatch deserved to be praised. But, that in no way means that he supports him as a candidate, especially if Hatch is opposed by a more conservative and/or a TEA Party candidate.

I listen to Mark every single day, and have not come away with the same impression that you have. So, I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this subject.

Thank you so much for your reply. You are a very nice person, and I’m glad I’ve “met” you. I hope you have a very Happy Independence Day, too!

BTW, you can find the pings button in the middle and at the top of the page on any current thread you are reading.

I find myself in the totally awkward position of having to offer you my utmost apologies.

You are right...Mark Levin does support Hatch.

I listen to him every day. I don’t know how I missed it.

Please forgive me, and thank you so much for not chewing me out. ;o)

How are those pings working out for you?

You have nothing to apologize for. Folks on FR hold strong beliefs built upon principles and in my case some decades of observation. We simply won't walk away from them easily.

The ping works very well. Thanks so much for providing it. I wish there was a site operating manual. You know for us computer klutzes.

Now, ya-all have a happy fourth.

You are very gracious, and I thank you for that. Often, that’s not a commodity found in abundance here.

I was out of town for a while, and then had oral surgery. I strongly suspect that Mark’s declaration of support for Hatch occurred during that time, and I stupidly thought I knew what I was talking about without checking it out, first.

As far as a site manual, all you have to do is look at the top of any page to find the links to wherever you want to go. Browse/News Activism would take you to the forum, pings and mail are self-explanatory.

You aren’t a computer klutz...you’re not very adventerous, though. Don’t worry...click on the links at the top of the page. You are never locked out of your pings, or any other part of FR.

Happy Independence Day to you, fellow Southerner. ;o)
