(CNSNews.com) – At a congressional hearing on Muslim radicalization in U.S. prisons, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) said that investigators needed to analyze Christian militants in America because they too might try to “bring down the country.”
In an exchange with witness Patrick Dunleavy, the former deputy inspector of the criminal intelligence unit, New York Department of Correctional Services, Rep. Lee mentioned the case of a man who blew up an abortion clinic and proposed that this perhaps was an attempt to undermine U.S. law that allows a woman to procure an abortion.
Rep. Lee then said, “As we look to be informational, we should include an analysis of how Christian militants or others might bring down the country.

That Cr@p shouldn’t sell well to her constituents, mostly Southern Baptist, I would think.
No question, Lee is a weird lady and says over the top things. Can’t imagine why people keep re-electing her. I think Texas would like to ship her elsewhere.

I know it is important for you and your constituency to express the attitudes and values of angry children.

Is there a working definition of what a “Christian Militant” is? Or is this an attempt to blacken Christianity and draw fire away from a growing voting block in America, i.e., to win over Militant Islamists into the democrat camp... what is that saying? “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”... guess democrats would rather grow their ranks of disparate groups to show that they are willing to befriend anyone as long as they don’t vote republican.
If 'bringing down the country' is defined as fighting socialism and communism, fascism and tyranny, YOU BETCHYA.

Great point, and they weren't bombing abortion clinics. WHich begs the question, perhaps she can point us to the New Testament scripture explaining how abortion clinic bombing is acceptable Christian behavior and is indeed instructed NEW Testament scripture.
Due to the recent rash of Christian suicide bombers at abortion clinics, I understand her concern. However, reality for black people who are concerned about the injustice their ancestors were forced to endure should include the people that put an end to slavery. And who were they? The radical Evangelical Christians.
And where is there black slavery today? In every Islamic country on the face of the earth.

Now, let us count the number of actual abortion clinic bombing, since say, (pick a date) 1996 and today. I get .... zero! 15 years and NO abortion clinic bombings! (15 years at 1 million+ abortions a year killed 20 million American workers and American consumers and American taxpayers, but let's agree to ignore that minor problem also.)
Now, let us count the number of actual Muslim bombings since 1996 .... I get .... over fifteen thousand bombs, shootings, and rocket attacks!
Now, just who is the danger to America?
