I like Palin, and I would vote for her in a heartbeat, but the poll results sound about right to me. I know a lot of Republicans more conservative than myself who don’t care for Palin.

Likes and dislikes are important only in the early going. How many people liked McCain in June of 2007? IAC, I think the test for Plain would be how she would farewere she get on the stage with the seven.

If Palin declares, the these polls will change overnight. In the far NW suburbs of Chicago and rural areas surrounding, we have a small army of Palin supporters just waiting for her to declare. We're the hard line Tea Partiers who put Joe Walsh in Congress last November against the “unbeatable” Pelosi-favorite Melissa Bean.

We just need the green light from Palin and we hit the ground. I believe her popularity among Independents is also growing steadily. Lord, I hope she gets in!

Such conservatives as you mention undoubtedly consider her unelectable. And I don’t think she could win a Senate seat in AZ either. She will be the “Quayle” of 2012.
