The Czech Republic announced Wednesday that it was withdrawing from plans to participate in the United States missile defense program out of frustration at its diminished role in the system...

The administration of President George W. Bush had initially proposed stationing 10 ground-based interceptors in Poland and a radar facility in the Czech Republic. But in September 2009, the Obama administration scrapped those plans and proposed a revamped program with an unspecified role for the Czechs. Two months later, it offered the Czech Republic the possibility of hosting a separate early warning system.

The shift prompted accusations from Republican critics who accused President Obama of betraying allies under pressure from Russia, while officials in Eastern Europe, who viewed missile defense as a symbol of American support for the region, expressed discomfort at the change in policy.

The Czechs got screwed before in 1938, they aren’t going to make that same mistake again.

The Czechs have been some of our staunchest allies, and Skippy has just screwed the pooch on this one, too.

Well, at least he hasn’t bowed to any foreign enemy leaders lately...

you got to admire him -- in 2 days he managed to tick off the Brits, Israelis, Indians, Czechs, etc and at the same time managed to bow to nearly every leader except the Queen (to her he continued talking during the British national anthem and gave her dvds as an official gift from the US) --> this guy is capable of doing an incredible amount of stuff.

Not good stuff, but a lot of bad stuff....
