The powers that be want to solve the problem by opening a taxpayer-funded “center?” Why don’t they just arrest the b-tards and throw them in jail (preferably with some big burly guys named Bubba)?

Sorry, but when you’re a teenager, you should be old enough to know right from wrong. You are supposed to obey the law. If there is a curfew in effect, you stay home. If you violate the law, you should face consequences. End of story.

The center will stay open through the night and teens will be given something to eat while they wait for their parents.  Counselors will be on-hand to talk with families. - This sounds like a great idea! those rascals!, just having fun, playing "kick the can", stick ball, splashing in puddles, they just need some adult conversation.
