(CNSNews.com) – Former Sen. Alan Simpson (R-Wyo.), co-chairman of President Barack Obama's National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility, said Tuesday that he agreed with his fellow co-chairman, former Clinton Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles, that the United States faces “the most predictable economic crisis in history” within the next two years.

Simpson added that the tipping point "will come when the rating agencies find out we have no plan" to seriously address federal spending and the national debt.

At the Capitol Hill Club on Tuesday, CNSNews asked Simpson, “Erskine Bowles told the Senate Budget Committee that America faces the ‘most predictable economic crisis in history’ because of deficit spending and that this crisis is going to hit in about two years. Do you agree with Mr. Bowles?”

Where the hell was RINO Former Sen. Alan Simpson (R-Wyo.) in 2009 and 2010 when Obama was running up trillions of dollars in new debt on worthless jobs bills that dont create jobs?

I guess we have to really thank our lucky stars that the rating agencies can't read then.

Why do we have no plan? Is it because the GOP doesn't have a plan? No. Is it because the GOP refuses to compromise on its plan in committee negotiations? No. Is it because the Democrats have no plan and refuse to do anything other than demagogue on this issue? Yes.

These hand wringing statement are useless unless Simpson, Bowles and others get a lot more precise in what they mean.

There's been some darned good ideas to cut spending and reduce the debt coming from some conservative folks, but the Dems won't tolerate that.
