AOL Weird News gave two writing analytic companies samples of the former Alaska governor's recently released emails and both agree that the Tea Party favorite writes as if she's in middle school.
The 24,000 emails during Palin's time as Alaska governor are still being studied. But the documents are filled with her famous folksy phrases like "holy moly," "shindig" and "holy flippin' crap."
It turns out Palin's writing skills are still better than most educated Americans. Global Language Monitor gave Palin's emails a score of 8.2, which actually exceeds that of most chief execs. "She's very concise. She gives clear orders. Her sentences and punctuations are logical," said Paul Payack of GLS. "She has much more of a disciplined mind than she's given credit for."
John Katzman, CEO of another company, 2tor, gave Palin a score of 8.5. He said the potential presidential candidate's emails scored higher than his own, when based on the widely-used Flesch-Kincaid readability test.

It is hard for me to believe that people who saw and remember Gov. Palin’s speech as her introduction as a VEEP candidate and her speech to the 2008 GOP convention would criticize her speaking ability? That is one of her best attributes which is why she is a speaker in demand.
Perhaps you are thinking of interviews?
One of the best political speeches of modern times -- delivered with a malfunctioning telepromter.
Ping....be sure to read #26
Underestimate her intellect at your peril...
She’s everything the East Coast snobs and West Coast leftists detest. They’ve been pretending that the rest of America can be ignored, that for all practical purposes it doesn’t exist. Sarah resonates with the rest of America, the part of the country which still believes in America.
I have also been granted US mechanical patents:
“Is this information that will ever penetrate the mental force-fields of the crazed, PDS-suffering, Luddites on the Left?”
Only with the aid of a sawed off two row 12 loaded with triple ought buck to get their rapt attention first.
I sure would like to read this letter. How can I find it?
Thank you
I admire you for doing that posting and for admitting that you may have misjudged her. ...Good on ya!
Amen, FRiend!
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Agree. If I scored an 11 I’d go back, shorten sentences, straighten sentence structure to be more linear, and downsize words.
Eschew obfuscation.
I think the speeches when she takes her time can be pretty good. Yes, it’s interviews and some of her other speeches and appearances where her speaking doesn’t ring solid. I’m talking of form here, not content.
It’s partly accent, mostly timbre and pitch and speed. When she goes up in pitch especially.
Maybe it’s a regional thing? Some folks just can’t imagine a problem, others see it. I dunno. It’s hard to even describe. I mentioned Thatcher. I think Palin has at least as much, well, balls, as Maggie; but, there’s a reason Thatcher was called The Iron Lady. Again, I don’t think it’s content - other than I wish Sarah would drop the “golly” and “betcha” slang.
Here’s a Thatcher example, unscripted, in the dock for consideration of the comparison:

thanks for your reply.
What you have done in admitting you were mistaken is something that few people ever do, to the very great detriment of the political discourse specifically, and the Country in general. Good on ya.
The libs are the only ones who have not underestimated her, from the very beginning. Give ‘em a little credit in that regard.
