The DC Chapter of Free Republic asks that you vote for the Aleethia Foundation on Wednesday, June 15. Your vote will help Aleethia to be awarded a new Toyota vehicle which will provide wheelchair accessible transportation for service members. It is a helpful, cost- effective way for Aleethia to further assist newly wounded, injured and ill service members.
The Aleethia Foundation is proud to announce that it has been selected as a finalist in the “TOYOTA 100 CARS FOR GOOD” program.

The Aleethia Foundation sponsors free, weekly Friday Night Dinners for the wounded and their families from military hospitals in Washington DC. The Dinners began in October 2003.
In the process of providing the dinners, Aleethia found some of the troops in need of small financial grants ($1,500 to $2,500) to bridge different financial situations. It then expanded its mission to provide as many of these small grants as it could.
Aleethia also found a need to do more than just the dinners, and so it started supplying other short-term recreational activities such as sightseeing drives, trips to movies, sporting events and smaller dinner situations.The Aleethia Foundation is a small group of volunteers. There is no paid staff and no overhead.
…. WE NEED YOU TO SPREAD THE WORD TO FAMILY, FRIENDS, COLLEAGUES ETC…. Now is the time to use the social networks available…Facebook…Twitter…etc to spread the word for a great cause!!!
