Of course the Unions will spend 10s of millions of dollars advocating for the increases...they have more money than the state does.
Still, I don't believe the measure will pass.
Dems are desperate and are now reaching at straws. Their only immediate concern is getting paid...if they don't pass a budget by Jun 15th they lose all pay and benefits for the duration and they'll never be made whole.
Do not give Brown and the Democrats anything. The sooner the pink slips for public employess go out the better. They deserve it!
I keep hearing Wimpy “I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today...”
Send them a memo stating "life's a b!tch, you become a democrat, and then you die b!tching about it".
There are four elected Republicans in California?
State Senate is split 15:25... Dems need 2/3’s to raise taxes...
We may be out numbered but not overwhelmed... Yet!
Watch for desperate measures here first. If you want to see the full force of the Government/Media/Union complex under a fight for survival, watch California and know it's coming to a neighborhood near you next.
If you want to kill this beast, start here. Greece and Wisconsin are but extended tentacles, but in Sacramento you have the head.
