MANCHESTER, N.H. Herman Cain says he has three people in mind for who hed choose as his running mate if he wins the Republican nomination for president.
Two of them are in Washington now, he said. But they sort of buck the establishment a lot.
Cain, a Republican running for president, made the comments in response to a question from one of several dozen customers at Sals Pizza here on Sunday.
He said type of person he would want as his vice president is somebody who is courageous and not afraid to go against the establishment.
Theyll need to understand grassroots, because if they dont understand grassroots, then they dont understand whats happening out there, he said
He refused to name anyone specifically because he said he doesnt want to start rumors and it wouldnt be fair to them.
Cain, the former CEO of Godfathers Pizza, autographed pizza boxes and also downed a couple slices of the joints meat lovers pizza in front onlookers and cameras.
Sounds like Cain/West. ;-D
I would guess Paul Ryan or Jim DeMint.
Ping.
As always, Herman Cain is right on the money.
It’s just a tad premature, Herman.
Two of them are in Washington now, he said.

West is in Wash but he he hasnt been there long
Gov Sarah Palin is not in DC
So who is the 3rd person that other DC politician ???
Come on. He’s trying to persuade people that he’s a viable candidate. He’s letting us know what kind of administration he’d have.
bachman...ryan...Palin.
He already mentioned DeMint, Bachmann, and I think Coburn, as being on his short list.
He alsosaid Rubio and West would be terrific, but both promised to finish their terms.
I thought of Allen West, but something tells me that Herman Cain isn’t thinking of an all-black ticket. But could you imagine the outrage from liberals if this happened? “No fair, Republicans are trying to out-African-American us! And with responsible, intelligent African-Americans, while we’re stuck with dumb mulatto and an even dumber white guy.”
What are you asserting would have been the best response?
Please not DeMint. There are so few real conservatives in the Senate we can’t afford to lose any, even to the Vice Presidency.
I learned something about Cain. I don’t think he is ready for this.
Ron Paul? I hope not.
West or Coburn.
bachman...ryan...Palin.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Palin is nobody’s Veep. She would absorb every molecule of political oxygen. She is much, MUCH too large a political figure to be Veep.
Not going to happen.

West/Ryan/DeMint
I bet two out of three are in his top ten choices.
