Ron Paul believes in a much much smaller federal government doing much much less.
He’s not about forcing states to legalize anything. Doesn’t care what they do, is in favor of Limited Constitutional Government, but isn’t a Libertarian. Libertarians agree with him on issues - they agree that the federal gov shouldn’t have drug cops - but Ron Paul doesn’t agree with them on state matters.
Where does he disagree with Libertarians on state matters?
Paul makes great points (some I agree with, some I don’t) and I’m glad he’s giving voice to true Constitutionalism, but he’s not LEADERSHIP material. Being leader of the free world requires far more than good talking points and being “smart.”
If Palin’s Rand Paul endorsement is any indication, she will make sure to incorporate the best of what papa Paul has to say into her own views, as they already are shared to begin with...She has libertarian-leanings in all the right places.
