It was Santorum’s grandfather who came over, he said so much in his candidacy speech.

From Wikiepdia - “Santorum was born in Winchester, Virginia, and raised in Berkeley County, West Virginia, and Butler County, Pennsylvania, the son of Aldo Santorum (born 1923) and Catherine (née Dughi; born 1918). Both his father and maternal grandfather were immigrants from Italy.”

He mentioned something about his grandfather coming here. If his father was naturalized BEFORE he was born then it’s ok. If not, then we’ve got another situation.
