Rick Santorum
Santorum served two terms in the U.S. House and two terms in the U.S. Senate. He became the Senate's third-ranking Republican in 2001. He was defeated for reelection in 2006.
And that is why you have a congressional oversight committee.
And it has already started!
But they will mention the ‘lame’ debate as a way to segway into stringing up their favorite political pinata and swinging away.
Heck they don't even need blindfolds to miss, 'cause Palin is pulling the rope lol
Yea well they don’t pay much attention to them
Obama is a scofflaw. Are you suggesting that the next president follow that example?
My preference is for Ron Paul. The likely result though is, my gut tells me, a Palin romp. I like Paul 1 and Palin 2 (Bachmann 3, and she did well tonight). Palin will need a cabinet, will need advisors. I’d rather see Ron Paul attacking Obama or Romney, and not Palin. They do agree on a lot, and Ron Paul does know a good number of people who are dedicating to cutting federal government. If Palin is the nominee, Palin’s foreign policy would apply, if Paul is the nominee, Paul’s foreign policy would apply.
With everything that’s f’d up in this country the last thing I care about is if someone konws how to manipulate the media. What’s Palin’s plan to grow the economy, reduce the massive debt we have, reform entitlement programs, cut the budget, etc. That matters more to me than how she uses the media she claims is “lamstream”.
Agree with almost everything. Thought Santorum did a little better than last time. And I do like Ron Paul, but didn’t think he won the debate. I’d say Bachmann.
The sensitivity of anyone’s supporters needs to get in hand. This election is SO important, the silly infighting is getting out of hand. We need strength and conviction, honesty and Conservative principles. And we should be darned certain at the end of this that our emotions do not rule our heads because I fear this might be our final chance to turn this ship around.
Sarah Palin is my candidate unless she decides not to run OR unless she shows me a flaw I can’t overlook. So far, neither has happened. I am taking that into consideration as I watch each one of these suitors proposing to me. Show me. That is all I ask.
romney is a never. paul is a never. Newt is a never. Huntsman and Johnson I ain’t even considering. The rest, I am watching every step of the way.
The elephant in the room who was mentioned once, maybe two times.
Get a grip. your hives are showing. Might I suggest Calamine Lotion for that.
Parts of it. I look very favorably toward his targeting of jihadists with drones and I simply loved his giving the command to kill bin Laden on sight.
Did you beat your wife yesterday or today?
Let’s see NRO, Townhall, American Spectator, Commentary, Red State, just to name a few all declared Bachmann the winner or co-winner with Romney. Same for those tweeting (like Mary Katharine Hamm and Guy Benson) I guess they all have an agenda too? I guess all of conservative online media with the exception of free republic is out to get Palin and keep her from running?
Her makeup is perfect.
Most Twitter followers gained in past 24 hours: @THEHermanCain +1274; @MittRomney +838; @MicheleBachmann +534. Worst: @RickSantorum -1.
Fact is Bachmann did well for her first debate performance. And with all these Palin supporters trashing her it only proves one thing to me - they fear her. I mean that's what Rush Limbaugh says every day, that the MSM trashes Palin because they're afraid of her. Well if Bachmann was a non-factor why wouldn't Palin supporters just ignore her?
You are thinking like a Ivy League policy wonk. As if the president can actually do anything to grow the economy. What the president needs to do is not to implement some central government planning, but just to get out of the way.
If Obama had done nothing but golf and veto every piece of legislation that came up to his desk, the economy would be booming right now.
I would love to see a candidate state categorically that their plan for the economy is just to leave it alone.
well, I thought he had destroyed his chances, but coming on to the debate while already in progress (the illegal alien question) I have to say that Newt definitely struck me as the most intelligent and was the best responder to whatever was thrown at him. I don’t count him out at this juncture, he his a man for our age.
I loved Michele - she was so wonderful, great responses and real easy to feel like a member of the human and American family.
They call Tim whimsy? I don’t think so. He was outstanding - I didn’t even recognize him from other public and TV appearances ... Wow, great job, he sounded so Presidential and convincing.
Mitt and Cain, Rick - they all commanded themselves in the debate.
I would have liked to see Rudy in there! I think he would have hit a home run...
And Ron was as expected - a living American treasure. He is like our Nehru or Gandhi, like George Washington, like Fort Knox, breathtaking.
And they say Republicans don’t have the candidates? My Lord, everyone is THE candidate and I am so happy with them and thank them all for running!
Right now I think I am leaning for Michele - she is new to this whole scene but I fell in love with her tonight. She really did a great job. and she has true love for children and I think see will do justice in her love for country.
Gee Palin could stop that if she wanted to and just announe she’s running. Best way to stop Bachmann’s thunder, no? And as far as polls go, I guess the ones that have Palin in 2nd place are phony too? Or are the polls that give you the results you want credible and all the others not?
Has it not yet sunk into your head that Sarah Palin was NOT there? Why would they be tweeting about Palin or against Palin by giving their opinions on who WAS there? What is your fetish with Sarah Palin for heaven’s sake??? You are so petulent. It is unbecming.
