Scary!

Have you tried dialing the a/c up a degree or two and turning on a fan instead?

I do that sometimes when it gets up into the 90s/100s here. Seems the a/c runs a long time trying to cool to say 76 so I dial it up to 77-78 and turn on the floor fans (ceiling fans run almost 24/7) and the a/c cuts off more.

Just a thought but then I don’t live in Texas either.

We keep it set at 75 or 77 anyway. We have ceiling fans and floor fans running when we are in the room.

The outside unit is on the south side of the house in full sun. I may need to put something to shade the unit.
