I watched the loop several times. It's pretty massive and I concur with your statement that it seems to have erupted.
How big were the earthquakes coinciding with the Pinatubo eruption?

Checking it out on Google Earth. By the looks of that region I doubt there’s some guy taking it in with an iPhone. The caldera is plainly visible - actually two of them.

Thanks! Great job on spotting this one before the MSM!!!

Yes you are correct there is a caldera complex there. This is for sure Nabro though.
This thing is massive. Really beyond my comprehension actually.

Volcano quakes always interest me...not sure why...but we may want to be saying a few prayers for this region.

Yeah it’s a caldera....I am thinking it will be eventually just called Nabro....least the quakes suggest that was the culprit.

Well, there is a tropical wave over Ethiopia, so I’m not 100% confident it’s an eruption plume.
However, it certainly could be one.

Yeah and judging by the quick motion...it had to get up into a jetstreak.

Yes, this is going to be big and bad. Only good thing is possibly a sparse population in the immediate area. For sure climate consequences if it continues for any lenght of time.
