Via the Corner, I cant shake the strange feeling that (a) we might hear him use this coinage again on the trail a time or two, starting tomorrow night in New Hampshire, and (b) the expected gang-up on Romney at the CNN debate is going to be way fiercer and more entertaining than anyone expected.
Just one question: Will it work?
According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Sunday morning, three-quarters of Republicans and GOP leaning independent voters say they want a party nominee who can defeat President Barack Obama in 2012, even if that person doesnt agree with them on every issue. Thats up seven percentage points from January
The poll takes a closer look at how Republicans perceive the five best-known candidates or potential candidates for the nomination. Two-thirds say that Romney can beat the president in the general election; a majority also say that about Giuliani, but most Republicans think that Obama would beat Palin, Gingrich or Paul.
Who is qualified to be president? According to the survey, three-quarters say that Giuliani and Romney are qualified; six in 10 say the same about Palin, but she still lags well behind on that score.
Palins got the highest favorable rating in the field, and fully eight in 10 Republicans think she agrees with them on the issues that matter most (versus just 64 percent who say the same of Romney).

I thought Pawlenty did OK against Chris Wallace this morning.
“ObamneyCare”
Ooooh... That’s gonna leave a mark.
You’re not going to beat Obama with Obama light. It must be a Reagan conservative!
Palin is the REAL deal!!
Go Palin!! Open up a can of Whoop Ass!!
Did you read this article? Already TPaw’s getting called on his bald lie that he was against—and had always been against—an individual mandate.
ObamneyCare. That is funny. I didn’t think Pawlenty had the funny gene.
You are right about that, but it is still good to see everyone gang up on the Progressive hack Romney. The more that loser gets hit, the better the chances for him imploding in the primaries are. Global Warming Romney really needs to go.
Can everyone feel the “Squish”?
I am waiting to be told by the DNC and MSM who the Republican nominee will be. I heard an interview with Pawlenty on Chicago talk radio this week. Between that interview and his performance with Wallace today, I still like Pawlenty better than Mittens, and so far, it seems many media sources are saying that Mittens will get the R nomination.
Wow, that is the best news that I have heard for a while. Pawlenty would not be my first choice as a candidate, but at this point, I’ll take anyone who is willing to take Mitt Romney and Obama at the same time.
Who said that Giuliani is running?
I thought he did as well. I don’t want softball interviews because if the candidates aren’t ready for the main event we will have 4 more years of Obama.
I like Timmy better than Mittens too, though that’s not saying much. But if you’d click through to the article you’d see the clip where TPaw gushes about individual mandates. He has no more credibility going after Romney on Romneycare than Romney has going after Obama on Obamacare.
CNN is having a debate?
And did you click through to the clips either? Today TPaw swore he’d never supported individual mandates, but when he was governor of MN he talked about how important and useful they could be for healthcare in MN.
His response to being called “vanilla” by O’Rielly was a little uncomfortable.
ref my tagline
Chris, the nitwit, is a closet Democrat. He quotes RAT talking points and has no idea the stats he quotes are incorrect. Pawlenty looks like to be my choice. Palin I hope she runs for Senate in AZ since she has a home there now.
