And liberalism descends from that first lie: "For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."
In this sense we are all liberals, because we believe in that first lie:

When were you ever given the opportunity to hear and believe the serpent's enticement to Eve? I really really do not get this notion or theory that anyone other than Eve fell for this lie? Now, that is NOT to say that very same 'spirit' is NOT rampant throughout the world of liberalism, which in literal terms is that man/woman in flesh bodies believe they can do things 'better', than God's Holy Way. That in the most simplest terms means against Christ.

Excellent theology, but you might be over-parsing and under-valuing.
Modern liberals are racist, sexist, condescending megalomaniacs. They sacrifice principle on the altar of expediency.
