May I add that this question is one that has been asked for generations and generations. There are dark periods in our lives. Some VERY dark. We lose innocent children, families, jobs, etc... and then we wonder. We wonder if God is testing us or if He isn’t just allowing the world to do what it wants. I think it is a normal process in our faith. As humans, we have to question what faith is really about in order to have it. It is an evolving process and not automatic like eye color, for example. I personally don’t know too many people who haven’t questioned “Does God dislike me” when dealing with extreme situations and sadness. IMHO
