A bigger question is: Are they really married? Remember the part of the ceremony where the priest, minister, judge, justice of the peace, captain of the ship says, “by the authority of xxxx and the state of xxxx I now pronounce you husband and wife”?

By what authority did Bill Clinton have to marry them? to marry ANYBODY? He’s an ex-President (of dubious moral authority). He’s NOT a minister, or a judge. In fact, he had his law license suspended for lying under oath.

Perhaps they are notreallly married at all. Perhaps it was all a sham to give cover to her close relationship with Hillary.

All they need to do is get the marriage license signed and it’s legal. The rest is just for show.

"By what authority did Bill Clinton have to marry them?"

The son of friends of mine was married in Florida by a notary public.

Maybe Clintoon took out a notary license from whatever state he's supposed to have residency in....if it allows notaries to perform marriage ceremonies.

Or, perhaps, he still fancies himself Captain of the Ship of State.....therefore allowed to tie peoples' marital knots.

Presidents are authorized to officiate a civil ceremony. So is Weiner as a Congressman actually. Creepy, right?

It’s considered a great honor to have Mayors, Governors, Congressman, Senators, and higher placed Judges officiate, and it’s a side job for these people to show up on behalf of their jurisdiction.
