American Way: Sarah Palin email frenzy backfires on her media antagonists

The trove of more than 13,000 emails detailing almost every aspect of Sarah Palin’s governorship of Alaska, released late on Friday, paints a picture of her as an idealistic, conscientious, humorous and humane woman slightly bemused by the world of politics.

One can only assume that the Left-leaning editors who dispatched teams of reporters to remote Juneau, the Alaskan capital, to pore over the emails in the hope of digging up a scandal are now viewing the result as a rather poor return on their considerable investment.

If anything, Mrs Palin seems likely to emerge from the scrutiny of the 24,000 pages, contained in six boxes and weighing 275 pounds, with her reputation considerably enhanced. As a blogger at Powerline noted, the whole saga might come to be viewed as “an embarrassment for legacy media”.

Mrs Palin, who suddenly resigned as Alaska governor in July 2009, is no longer a public official. She holds no position in the Republican party. Despite the media hubbub that surrounds her every move, she is unlikely to be a candidate for the White House in 2012.

She is, however, viewed with a kind of horrified fascination by many in the media, who faithfully records everything she says and does while at the same time decrying her as ignorant and even evil.

Whether or not she runs for the White House – and the solid consensus among Republican leaders is that she won’t – the scramble over the Palin emails confirms her status as a pivotal figure in the race to challenge President Barack Obama next year.

No one is so innocent or careful that something cannot be dug up (or implied) from an examination of their writings. The msm will find something, even if it is only a nothing that they can blow up and make seem to be “something”. Be ready.

They will try to create something but it will go nowhere and accomplish nothing.

What a contrast between the scrutiny given to SP and the pass given to B.O. (or whatever his name) I’m surprised the American public doesn’t see that.

They will try to create something but it will go nowhere and accomplish nothing.

Give them time. With 13,000 emails they can rearrange a sentence from one, combine with a sentence from another, and eventually piece together something truly scandalous.

They'll get FactCheck.org to "confirm" their result and the looney libs will believe anything they come up with.

The actions of the so called MSM against the lady may have resulted in yet another “nail in their coffin.” It will be interesting to see how the public, in general, will react to the media itself if nothing against Palin emerges.

The more the media digs into Palin, the more they expose their duplicity and hypocrisy.

I say, let them have at it. They are superfluous. Their opinions are meaningless. They are bankrupt, morally and financially. They are a worthless vestige.

This whole thing is truly pathetic. Like a bunch of crows trying to pick meat from a dead animal. There’s nothing there. How sickening the MSM is. And, what’s more sickening is the fact that they weren’t the least bit interested in zero’s affiliations from the past, (hanging out with Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, etc.) Nope, that’s nothing, but, by God - Sarah Palin’s emails are top news.

They make me want to puke!

MIchael Issakoff, degenerate troglodyte of MSNBC, slammed her with the news that she said "unflippinbelievable" in an e-mail. Obviously not ready to be president eh?

Yup. I saw this bug-eyed honk on NBC the other evening, absolutely drooling over the prospect of digging Palin dirt. Now the dirt is in his mouth...

They’ll make sh*t up about Sarah’s emails and they’ll ignore all questions regarding their own four-year-long total-lack-of-interest in anything relating to the background of the Kenyan King.

Gotta love it- but NOW it’s fair game to peruse emails form others - starting with BO’s (boy, are his initials apropos) -

I’ll wager that there can not be found ONE other politician - Governor, Senator,Congressman (except West) etc, whose emails would show such a principled, honest, moral, dedicated and hard working person.
It’s time to demand and go through ALL their emails - THEY have set the precedent - - GAME ON. Perfect way to out the scoundrels - from boht sides of the isle.

BTW, I see Weiner is, all of a sudden - right after the news about him tweeting with an under age girl - skipping a hasty retreat out of town - and into an ‘undisclosed’ place - out of reach.
Methinks even more is about to hit the fan - far more serious than so far - and he is getting outta Dodge.
