I think it’s extreme and cowardly to identify these anarchists as extreme left. They are the exact opposite.
Anyone who ever pays attention knows darn full well, the extreme right stands for silencing debate. We have countless examples of their behavoir, particular since the birth of the so-called Tea-Party Patriots - from yelling down anyone they disagree with in a public meeting to threatening politicians with violence!
Democrats don’t hide their identity if they take issue with anyone. And they don’t have to bury themselves in a crowd to work up the courage to speak up. That’s an extreme right-wing thing.
Anarchists are not political - they just like to create anarchy! They relish every opportunity to butt into any protest, debate or activism. They are simply troublemakers who get their kicks out of making trouble - any excuse will do. And the legitimate groups who actually do organise activism, debate or protest, seriously hate to see them show up.

Cloward-Piven advocates overwhelming the system, but, you have to have a system to overwhelm. It is difficult to see what they want to replace the system with, when, it appears the system they want to overwhelm is the system they want.
