In a devastating act of ultimate revenge, a dying Elizabeth Edwards recorded a bombshell secret videotape for prosecutors nailing her cheating husband John as he will stand trial on charges that could land him behind bars for 30 years.
Thats the stunning secret behind the federal indictment brought against the disgraced former presidential candidate on June 3 following a two-year grand jury investigation into whether he illegally used campaign funds to cover up his affair with his then-pregnant mistress Rielle Hunter.
Elizabeth wanted to exact revenge against John for destroying their 33-year marriage and family by cheating with Rielle, source close to the scandal told ENQUIRER.
It was Elizabeths idea to secretly record a video and tell what she knew of the affair and Johns horrific betrayal.

So she was saved? You don’t know and neither do I.
She was an evil scumbag and deserves nothing from us but contempt.
Romans 14: 10-12
10 You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before Gods judgment seat. 11 It is written:
As surely as I live, says the Lord,
every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.
12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.
Who knows. I only know that I would not spend my last time on earth making sure that I got revenge. This isn't my home, heaven is and I would be little concerned with someone elses sins and getting even. I'd look to my own and urge others to do the same.
“I’d look to my own and urge others to do the same.”
That she didn’t is consistent with the other things she and her husband did.
I have to side with Edwards. It will be cruel and unusual punishment to send Edwards to prison—how in the world will he be able to get a $600 haircut in prison?? That’s just plain mean to do to him.../s
Yup. This woman was more often a victimizer than a victim. She and her husband were skunks.
Thank you, that is what I was looking for.
I tremble to think of standing in front of Him but I know I’m forgiven. But that doesn’t mean that I won’t be reminded of WHY I needed to be forgiven.
What a stupid statement.
Likewise!
It's a little more complicated than that. Like all other hearsay evidence, the rule is no absolute. For example, the tape can be used to rebut testimony provided by the defense. If nothing else, the existence of a tape like this limits some of the options the defense may have.
Who said she was saved? It surely wasnt me. From what I know about her I would doubt she was but I certainly dont know.
They are forgiven and forgotten the minute we ask forgiveness and repent. We have been promised that we who have been forgiven, when we stand before God the Father, He sees Jesus.
That’s not what the Scripture says. But you’re free to interpret it differently. I honestly hope that you have a Blessed day. :-)
Well Johnny boy, you couldn’t get the paralyzed to walk, but you certainly inspired the dead to speak.
I hope it is a valid report and that John Edwards gets his just reward, whatever that might be.
Note the forgave. It does not say will forgive.
"Blessed (happy) is he whose transgressions are forgiven, who sins are covered. Blessed (happy) is the man whose sin the Lord doesn't count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit." (Psalm 32:1,2)
Doesnt count against him!
"I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more." (Isaiah 43:25)
Our sins have been blotted out and He remembers you sins no more!
"It is possible for the Lord to look at us without seeing our sins because when he forgave us, he removed our sins as far as the east is from the west" (Psalm 103:12)
He sees us without our sins!
HEBREWS 8:12 "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."
If He remembers them no more how can He then remember them later at our death?
1 Peter 2: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
If He took our sins upon Himself how then can He put them back on us? The answer is that He doesnt. Our sins were paid for on the cross over 2000 years ago.
Okay, so in your kumbaya world, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Mao, Lenin, Idi Amin, and their ilk exist in history only as 'deceased foreign leaders' with no mention of their actions.
Or possibly you would mention the mllions they killed but make no moral judgements about them.
Making moral judgements should not end at the grave, lest the ability to learn from past evils would be lost.
Go play on Oprah's website, you'd fit in well there.
I’m glad you posted that. I don’t believe in blanket forgiveness either. I do think Elizabeth Edwards went out with a lot of hate in her. That can’t be good for the soul. I’m not big on getting revenge on people and it seems like that was her intent.
When God says that He has "forgotten" our sin it means that we do not have to constantly beg forgiveness for the same sin over and over. It was given the FIRST time we asked. Don't confuse being forgiven with making a final accounting. At the judgment seat we will not have to ask forgiveness again. We will not be punished for forgiven sins. But our lives, in their entirety, will be seen by God. God will be glorified for having sent His Son to give us grace. Remember it is about HIM, not us.
As surely as I live, says the Lord,
every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.
