'Journalism': The New York Times and Washington Post have asked their readers' help in scouring 24,000 emails from Sarah Palin's governorship, released Friday. They hate her really hate her.
Imagine a newspaper in 2008 asking readers' help in perusing Barack Obama's emails as U.S. senator and Illinois state senator. Or for that matter, help in unearthing his college records. The howls from "mainstream" journalists and Democratic politicians would have been deafening.
But a private citizen conducting a bus tour across the country Palin is not a candidate, let's not forget is fair game for a mob witch hunt.
The Post told its readers "we're looking for some help ... to analyze, contextualize and research" Palin's emails, released after Freedom of Information Act requests, "right alongside Post reporters over the days following the release."
The paper asked for recruits for "100 spots for people who will work collaboratively in small teams to surface the most important information from the emails," open to anyone with an online computer.
As for the "Newspaper of Record," "Times reporters will be in Juneau, the state capital, to begin the process of reviewing the emails," the paper's "Caucus" blog said Thursday. "We're asking readers to help us identify interesting and newsworthy emails, people and events that we may want to highlight." A "simple form" was provided to readers to do so.
The twin anti-Palin projects are telling in a number of ways with other papers, like the Los Angeles Times and Britain's Guardian, catching their own cases of Palin email fever.

One more reason to back Palin...
lol..can’t get her on the affair angle so might as well turn it into a divorce!
DU contains a collection of astoundingly stupid people, considerably more stupid than the norm. Duh -- they haven't figured out that Palin -- or just about anyone else, for that matter -- can and will kick Obama's ass, if indeed he is the Dem nominee in 2012, and I think there's a good chance he won't be.
And there are a few dumb folks on FR, as well, such as those who fall for the MSM illusion of Obama's manufactured "popularity."
On a related side note, I see on other threads that one of the MSM gambits to attack Palin is that she redacted zero, not even the personal contact info of the people who sent the emails. One hysterical blogsite I went to has liberals oozing with something ugly, accusing her of making it so Palin "nuts" can track down and take revenge on emailers who wrote critical emails. They think that she should have at least done something to protect the privacy of the emailers.
Had Palin done that, the MSM would be screaming, "Palin made redactions on virtually every email! What's she trying to hide?" And that would be that -- only on "right wing sites" would you find the factual information that, if it had happened this way, the redactions were ALL and ONLY in the nature of personal contact info. The same mindset that says "Palin quit!" would say, "Palin made redactions on every email!"
But apparently, Palin asked for zero redactions -- let it all hang out. Around Palin, the MSM is like a dumb dog on a short leash!
At some future point, the history books will surely speak kindly of him.

HEY!!! ;)
Shame on the free press.
Never apologize for putting scare quotes around "free" press. The press isn't free - the press is "associated." And that association functions as a borg.
They didn’t investigate Climategate like this....
Translation: Help us dig up and publicize dirt on Sarah Palin. Also, focusing on this helps us limit what we have to print about Weiner.
Didn't you mean to say you were hacked?
This will backfire, big time, on these LIEberal scumbags!
Run Sarah! Run!
Is it 2012 yet?
I suggest we tell the Post and Times to either back off, or every Republican in the house will vote for a bill demanding full disclosure of all of Obama’s records, and demand a complete investigation of his fraudulent BC, etc.
My dog has more complete medical records than this imposter was willing to provide the American public!!!
Make Obama call off the attack dogs on one of our own, or we’ll respond in kind.
Yes, and they were all sure Wiener was telling the truth when he said he was hacked. The DUmmies believe anything the MSM tells them.
The Obama worshiping media has their agenda.
I notice that most electronic communication with government officials who operate under so-called “sunshine” rules will give you the caveat that everything you send is open record, including your email address. Therefore, since the information was not private, it likely couldn’t be redacted under the rules. Keep that in mind when writing public figures, folks!
In the wintertime when I’m in Florida I really like the St. Pete Times. I like the puzzles and the comics. The rest of it goes into the recycle bin! ;oD
I hope those LIEberal ‘Rat Bastards had to pay $1.00 per page!
It has good coupons.
They could print up just the coupons and I’d be more likely to buy it for the same price. LOL.
Unfortunately, they usually have some sort of editorial headline on there dissing conservatives that ticks me off and I pass it by.
