How is this good news for the dem? The republican party is not stupid enough to run someone the tea party disapproves of nor are they stupid enough to split the vote. This is just wishful thinking.

Another Liberal fantasy poll. I bet a race with three Republicans, two Tea Party candidates and a Dem is even worse for the GOP. All this shows is that the Dems can get some mileage out of dirty tricks like running a fake Tea Party candidate, which the scumbags likely will try to do.
The Tea Party numbers are probably low too. It was a wave and it built up over a period of time. As we get closer to the next election more people will identify with it again. This is a lull period. Plenty of emotion in 2010 and plenty more to come in 2012.
Hun? The Republicans ARE just that stupid. And the Democrats are smart enough to use the Tea Party to screw the GOP. Just look at the recent NY election. That is the strategy the RATs will use to destroy the GOP.

I believe Rasmussen is referring to Tea Party approved candidates.
These are the ones who buck the GOP establishment and win the nomination ( e.g. Christine O’Donnel in Delaware or Sharon Angle in Nevada).
The only candidate Trump could run to the right of is Barky.
They would come in third in a three way race, and it would mark the obvious beginning of their final decline. The GOP will be a small, regional party by the end of the century, or it will have merged with the Democrat “frensh acrosh the aisle”.
He is trying to say that the Rats pick up on a three way race and then adds that 20% are undecided? This is the stupidest waste of time poll ever. There is nothing real to take from it.

"The Donald" is not a conservative so he'd have a hard time dragging himself very far to the right of Obama. While it is true Trump the clown could run indie it would be as some sort of quasi-populist with policy positions designed to split off some of the ignorant, protectionist right of center voters ala Perot.
What happened in NY-26 was a wake up call. If they are that stupid they deserve to lose. Having said that, I really can’t see the country being fooled twice by the dems. We know a lot more about Obama now. He has a record now. The approval numbers for Obama are dismal in every category but personal likability. He will lose unless the republicans find a way to totally screw this up.

Urkel still has about a 50% approval rating even after being shown to be utterly incompetent IN EVERY AREA.
Two thirds of the voters are incredibly gullible and/or ignorant.
